This is a long review but, I hope it will be useful to someone considering this jointer. I purchased this jointer a few weeks ago and wanted to put it through it’s paces before reviewing it. This is an excellent machine and has quickly passed my bandsaw as the favorite tool in my shop. I spent a few months contemplating whether or not I even needed a jointer. This machine has me hooked on Jet tools. I had really thought high quality cost a lot more. Granted it doesn’t have some of the features of it’s PowerMatic cousin (they are made by the same company). Power: More than enough. I haven’t been able to slow it down facing 6” wide boards. Reliability: Rock solid, the only issue I have had is with dust collection.
