Multiple reviews already of the $99 Dust Deputy system sold by Oneida – thought I’d throw my two cents in on the $59 version that is just the cyclone sold separately. For the cost of a $5 painter’s bucket from Lowe’s and the time it takes to make a plywood lid, you have the same result as buying the complete kit with arguably a better lid/long term durability. my dust deputy works great too. the shopvac is clean. i strapped my dd to the shopvac with a rachet strap. i had to cut 2 hourglass-shaped spacers (out of 2×4) to get a good and even ‘lock’ between the cylindrical bucket and the cylindrical shopvac. (trace the bottom of the 5 gal bucket for the bottom spacer, and the top of the bucket for the top spacer). i mostly just pick it up to move it, but it also rolls/drags ok.i also suck a small amount of water straight into the...

Just picked up my DD today at the local Woodcraft store. Was not sure what to expect…only watched the online video as well as the reviews here and at other sites. Put it together per instructions, hooked it up to my old Ridgid 4.5 hp wet-dry vac and “POW”...it worked much better than expected. It was like adding a supercharger to my vac…cleaned up alot of sawdust on the floor and inside my TS cabinet in no time flat. I plan on getting a new 6.5 shop vac soo...

The demo at AWFS and videos online were just too convincing … I ordered the new Oneida Dust Deputy kit ($99.00 plus $10.50 S&H). It was money well spent. The ‘kit’ comes with the plastic cyclone, two buckets, lid, hardware and hoses. The cone itself is a tough, heavy plastic, and the hose connections are tapered so my ShopVac hoses fit tight and stay put. Assembly took under 5 minutes.
