Well, maybe my quick grip clamps are not gathering dust, but they are definitely not getting used near as much after purchase a few of these. I bought 3 of the 40” versions to supplement other clamps on a very large glue. They quickly became my go to clamps. Unlike my other bessey parallel clamps, these have a nice large rubber handle that make it easy to really twist and lock down on a piece. Pros:Great handle is easy to grip.Easy to release.Bar has decent rigidity.Large clamp pad surface area. Cons:Difficult to engage clamping pressure – clamps often won’t “bite” then you are forced to reset the threads and try again. This usually occurs during a glueup, when time is of the essence.Nothing holds he moveable clamp head in position when not in use. I have never spent any real money on clamps and now that I have I now regret not doing it sooner. I dropped the coin to get some Bessey Revo clamps and cant believe how much I like them. So much I wanted to share. Here is a short video review. http://youtu.be/J4KMRo0bdVs

I recently purchased quite a few of these clamps – see my blog http://lumberjocks.com/topics/5240. These clamps are the next progression of the old K.Body clamp from Bessey and are available in 8 sizes from 300 mm (12”) to 2500mm (98”). I found the clamps to have a professional feel of German engineering, which gave you confidence when you used them.
