This is a great machine. I do not use the flap part. Have read many comments about how difficult it is, and some even say dangerous. So, I use the small bladder on one side, with 80 grit and the large one with 150 grit. I mainly use it to clean up rounded over (with router) corners to build outdoor furniture. I use a handheld bicycle pump and it is probably less than 10 psi because I think I push too hard and it would be too aggressive at a higher psi. When I was first looking for one, ...

The only other review I could find on this sander was posted 1300 days ago. I found this machine on Craigslist about six months ago and have used it quite a bit since. It is a beast of power. Very straight forward and simple to operate. I have used and wasted my money on many smaller flap sanders on the drill press with less than great results. I make and sell a lot of cutting boards. 50% or more of the time involved is sanding so I am always looking for ways to cut the sanding time down. It gets downright tiring sanding the round-over edges with a ROS, especially when I am finishing 10 boards at a time. I had heard about flap sanders, but didn’t know much about them.
