After reading reviews, I went with the Craftsman 14” Bandsaw… driven by price, $340 and convenience of pick up. So, no delivery charge and in Delaware we have no sales tax… so that was the price… $339.99. Set up was easy. The box weighs only 170 pounds… easy enough for neighbor and myself to get down flight of stars to basement. Packaging was great.. no problem. -My rating is mostly based on Price and build Quality. -These are first impressions only. I will report back after a while of use. -Notice from the pics, the similarities of the Professional model and regular. I’ve basically been out of the woodworking game this whole past year. I just picked this up yesterday. I have been previously using the 10” version but have been looking to upgrade to a 14”. I have been very happy with the 10” and think everything about the fit, finish and performance is great (within its 1/3 hp capacity). I been watching craigslist (Chicago area) and good 14” saw at a good price have been fairly elusive. I stumbled upon searsoutlet.com which lists all their returns/refurbs/open box items. I bought a Craftsman 14” BAS350 bandsaw a couple of weeks ago. I wanted to get a 14” bandsaw for my workshop. I am basically an aspiring hobbyist that likes to make furniture and other woodcraft. I don’t own a table saw nor do I plan to, so a bandsaw seemed like the next logical tool to add to the suite of tools. So after doing the standard bandsaw research I settled on the Craftsman.
