I have been using saws for almost 70 years. When I retired from contracting we sold our large home with my big shop and of course most of the large tools I owned. Table saws, radial arm saws etc. they all went. Our new home needed some repair but I was limited to tool space. Recently, I had ran into a problem with my old Craftsman table saw. I decided to replace it instead of repairing it. Having used it for a couple weekends and making quite a few cuts, I’ve come to really appreciate this machine. My views might not be fully objective having come from a twenty year old Craftsman, but this new saw is just fantastic. Well, this is my first review but this product impressed me so much I wanted to write one. For starters, I’m not nearly as knowledgeable as most on here and consider myself a beginner. I’ve never had access to really “nice” machines so always kinda “made due” with what I had. I have been a woodworker for about 3 years, but have only recently gotten serious. Last March I purchased the Porter Cable, from Lowes, $599. I agonized for year over what table saw to buy. Price wasn’t the biggest issue, it was mostly concern over spending a great deal of money and being disappointed in the result.
