I have a Jet 1200, a 2 hp with a 12 inch impeller attached to a Super Dust Deputy (SDD) sitting on top of a 55 metal drum. I used a Alnor anemometer Model RVA+ to measure the velocity and calculated the cfm at different duct set ups and found no meaningful loss of cfm. Measurements as follows; 1. Measured at the 6 inch intake with a cheap metal 90 degree elbow (after removing the two 4 ” port) measured velocity at 5700 fpm/cfm 1114 2. same as above but with 3 cheap 6 ”...

I have wanted a two-stage dust collection system for some time, so decided to take the leap and order an Oneida Super Dust Deputy. The Super Dust Deputy (SDD) was well packed and everything (SDD, installation bolts, foam gasket, and the 5”-to-4” and 6”-to-4” reducers) was packed in a single box surrounded by plastic and foam. Because of the lid I opted for, I substituted the bolts Oneida provided with 1/4” x 20 tpi x 2 1/2” that I had on hand in the shop...

I have been fighting with my Oneida Pro 2000 since I bought it. Seems a lot of dust passes the cone and lands in the filter clogging it and making dust collection inefficient. So much so I have to take the filter outside at least once a week and blow it out with an air line the reinstall. For my drill press I purchased a Dust Deputy and use it on with a shop vac. While researching this product, I noticed that there was not a review on LJ’s for this specific model of cyclone. I have a smaller ClearVue Mini and absolutely love it, however there were few choices on the market for cyclones specifically made for the majority of small DC systems out there in the 1-2 HP range. I think that Oneida has something here for that niche market. In fact, I am surprised yet pleased that they made one of these available because it can directly compete with ...
