I recently sold my 15-year old Jet contractors saw on Craigslist with the intention of upgrading to Grizzly’s new hybrid saw. I was tired of the extraneous sawdust the Jet produced even though I had the saw connected to a 2 HP Grizzly dust collector. Other than that, the Jet came perfectly set up, and I never had to make any adjustments through its 15 years of dedicated service. I received the new Grizzly G0715P this past Tuesday, and had a neighbor assist me in locating it to my b...

First off, I’d like to say a few things to give you a bit of context around my review. This is the first table saw I have ever owned, so I have nothing to compare it to. I have been using it now for 4 months, I meant to write a review right away, but I am glad that I waited as my feelings for the saw have changed a bit. Now on to the review. Price: $859 Assembly Time: 5 hours. —————————————- ...

What do you get if you cross a Grizzly with a Polar Bear? Some sort of Hybrid???

What do you get if you cross a Grizzly with a Polar Bear? Some sort of Hybrid???

Background Info:Prior to owning this saw I made all of my cuts with a circular saw and a straightedge. Once I decided that I was interested enough in woodworking to dedicate half of my garage as a shop, it was time for a table saw. I did a lot of research and had pretty well decided on this saw. When I found out that I would be in Springfield, MO on Black Friday, I knew I had to check out the Grizzly showroom. While the Black Friday deals were pretty lousy, I ventured into the outlet store an...

My New Grizzly G0715P Table Saw

My New Grizzly G0715P Table Saw

I received my saw 4 days after placing the order and am very pleased with this product! With the help of Ellen35, I assembled the mobile base and got the saw up and running with very few set-backs. The hardest part was getting the saw from the driveway down into my basement shop! The Shop Fox mobile base is very sturdy and makes moving it a breeze. The wings were installed without much effort and the table is dead flat. The only problem with installing the rails wasn’t noticed unt...

A Great Saw...But Fence is lacking

A Great Saw...But Fence is lacking

My first shop was on the balcony of a small apartment – and it started with a Bosch jobsite table saw. A worthy table saw for my first, but finally last year I decided to get serious with my shop and after much research, purchased a Grizzly G0715P Hybrid table saw. First Impressions – excitement! From jobsite saw to a 2HP, cast iron top, full size table, I couldn’t be happier. After initial assembly and alignment I couldn’t wait to make some cuts. The saw did not di...

And so it starts….. Hello Folks! Paul here with my first review post. I plan to update this post after a year of experience with it, so this is my “Initial Thoughts/Feelings” review. :) After a long while (5+ months) of investigating what Table Saw to purchase, I finally decided on the Grizzly G0715P. Now don’t get me wrong I read MANY of the reviews here and at other sites, and most all of them were not so stellar, but some were very good. I believe most of the badness had to ...

Polar Bear in Arizona (4-1/2 stars)

- Delivery and Assembly: I recently bought a Grizzly G0175P Hybrid Table Saw, mainly to get dust collection capability with relatively low operating noise, and I wasn’t disappointed. Delivery was prompt and the packaging was effective with no visible damage. Lacking a forklift or loading dock in my garage, I did have to pay Grizzly an extra $34 freight charge for lift gate delivery. Fit and finish at first glance looked excellent. The components, including the 2 hp motor,...

What's a polar bear doing in the desert?

What's a polar bear doing in the desert?

After reading some positive reviews about this tablesaw I finally decided to pull the trigger only to find some unfavorable reviews after. Hopefully my review helps others make a decision either way. My previous tablesaw is an old Craftsman built in 1971. It’s like an old hybrid saw and well built but lacked dust collection and a splitter or riving knife. Safety is a big concern and this is a positive step until I can purchase a Sawstop cabinet saw.The package arrived in good shape...

Barely cuts 3/4 inch oak ISSUE RESOLVED!!

Barely cuts 3/4 inch oak ISSUE RESOLVED!!

Okay, so after not having a table saw for about 4 months since we moved and had to leave my brother’s 89 dollar pro-tech saw behind, my wife finally decided to get me the Grizzly G0715P. All in all, I would rate the actual saw a 4 out of 5. I gave it 3 stars because of the lack of power. I found an extention cord, cut to a shorter length, to act as my wire for my 110v re-wire, since the apartment I’m in said I can’t install a 220v outlet for it. so I got the 6 dollar cir...

Polar Bear in Texas! G0715P

Polar Bear in Texas! G0715P

I assembled my new G0715P table saw today! First Impression:This thing is sweet! The nickle did not move a bit during the test. I used the blade that came with it for my tests before putting on my infinity blade. It cut clean, smooth and left a almost glue ready edge. Conversion to 110:The conversion to 110 was very easy. Of all things, I was the most nervous about this. Changing the circuit breaker was 3 screws, changing the plug was 3 wires and changing the jumpers was 4 screws. VERY ...
