I needed some larger clamps for an upcoming project, and saw these on sale, I got a bunch of the 36” clamps on sale (reg 11.99, but sale + coupon got em for $5.95 each). I think they’re Central Forge brand (like the HF one handed clamps). They have a 32” actual clamping capacity I gave em a little bit of a workout clamping up some scraps to make a few boards, they put some solid pressure on without exploding, so thats always a plus lol! I bought two of these bar clamps for $8.99 ea at a Harbor Freight store. On one of them the tab on the movable jaw rounded over after a few uses to the point where it would not engage the slots in the bar. The casting on the fixed jaw of the other clamp broke under moderate pressure.I bought them because i liked the design, the length is adjustable. i wrote to Harbor Freight and they offered to send replacements if I returned the broken clamps, they would pay postage. i had already tossed ...
