Irwin XP, One handed bar clamps/spreaders

I received a pair of these 12’’ clamps as a gift. I have never used one handed clamps before this pair. Now whenever I have a clamping job, I grab these right away. It’s almost like having an extra hand, & they have plenty of clamping power. They provide 550 lbs of one-handed force (900 lbs of two-handed force). I also like the soft no-slip jaws, & you can reverse them to push things apart, such as chair rungs, or when dry fitting cabinet parts. ...

Quick Release Clamp

Quick Release Clamp

I have had two of these clamps for about 1 year. I bought them because I am a bit of a sucker for new tools. They sat in a drawer unused for a few months until I had a job that needed some tight clamping, the other quick grip clamps similar the Irwin XP did not have the gripping power.I now often reach for these clamps first because they have excellent holding power for their size (18”); -they are easy to apply-quick to release-the tensioning lever is ratcheted-you can adjust the tensio...

K-body clamp extenders

I picked up a set of the K-body clamp extenders a couple months back from Woodcraft. I had a table project coming up and knew that clamping the long aprons would require clamps in excess of the 50 inchers that I had. I was initially impressed by the solid construction of these. Honestly I think you would get back near half of the price in scrap value on the billet. The bolts are massive. The extrusion is formed to match the contours of the steel rails of the K-body clamps. Well last n...

I picked up these clamps when they first came out and have been extremely happy with them from the start. They need a 3/4” diameter hole to fit the bottom wedge assy into, tighten the knob and you are ready to clamp. Their holding power is terrific and very easy to release and move around as needed. I use these clamps all the time and they work great, I couldn’t imagine working without them.As ususal, the quality of the tools from Veritas is excellent, I highly recommend adding...

Great addition to older bar clamps!

Great addition to older bar clamps!

If you have ever been frustrated by bar clamps that just don’t want to stand up straight, then these are for you! My bar clamps are old style with skinny feet and no padding between the clamp and the wood. Clamping blocks take care of the contact with your project, but we all have enough to worry about when gluingup not to have to worry about the clamps toppling over! These clamp feet/pads take cxare of that problem. These make glue-ups almost easy! These clamp pads are designe...
