I purchased one of these at a local hardware store for trimming limbs in my yard and doing rough cut of logs for the rustic furniture I build. It does have plenty of power and minimizes weight. I actually used it to cut down an entire (dead) 15ft apple tree in my yard. The apple wood is drying in my “bone yard”. The chain tension will not hold for more than a few minutes. Let me start by saying I was a lumberjack for 10 years, and only used Stihl. Even now Stihl is the best in my opinion. Having said that they are expensive, and I couldn’t justify spending over $300 for an electric saw. This saw has a 16” bar, tool-less chain tensioning and has 3.5 HP. I bought this saw used but it was rebuilt professionally in a saw shop. The new parts were the air filter, top end of engine, and chain tensioner. The starter cover says 385 XP but that is just a different starter cover. The serial number plate says it is a 390 XP. I like the good power and the quick throttle response. I also like that for the size saw it is it is pretty fuel efficient. I also like the ease of access to the air filter for cleaning. The one thing that I don’t like is how...
