6 Piece Pneumatic Scraper Kit

6 Piece Pneumatic Scraper Kit

An odd find that actually works very well is this 6 Piece Pneumatic Scraper Kit i bought it with the idea to use it as a power chisel. I adaped some wood working chisels to work with this. It is very quiet yet has 3500 BPM and an air consumption of 4 cfm at 90. It is a nice compact unit and fits the hand well. I have used it to remove a great deal of wood that with a chisel and hammer would have taken much more time. Other features are built in regulator to vary the amount of force applied. F...

Compact Air Die Grinder Kit

Compact Air Die Grinder Kit

I was looking for a die grinder, and came across this little one 1/4 and 1/8 collets. This is an outstanding little grinder for the money 14.99. Lots of torque. It did not bog down when using a power rasp to remove stock from a piece of oak. At 4 cfm at 90, and 21,000 rpm it has tons of power. Fits the hand well and does exactly what I want it to do. Fit and finish is great. Again no air fittings. Another Harbor Freight tool I would recommend.

As you can tell I was looking for a few air tools. This little guy is awsome. Tons of torque, drives 3” screws like mad. I can drive about 25 before my compressor kicks in Runs at 4 cfm at 90 psi. Great preformance forward and reverse. The direction selector is conviently located. Again no air fitting included. At 19.99 can’t go wrong, and a one year warentee. Nice fit and finish and great packaging.

Another jem I picked up at Harbor Freight, this little inline air screwdriver really works well. 6 cfm at 90 psi, this little guy is an impact driver and really drives the screws home. Quick release chuck accepts standard hex drive bits. Another 19.99 Gem I highly recommend. Like most air tools from Harbor Freight no air fitting was included. Packaging was great and again has the 1 year warentee. Finish is suprisingly good. Fits the hand well and has ample power in forward or reverse.

Harbor Freight Air Drill

Harbor Freight Air Drill

I reciently was at Harbor Freight and picked up a few goodies. I have been looking for a few air tools lately and since I have had good luck with Harbor Freight tools I figured to give them a shot. My first item was the 3/8” Reversible Air Drill With Keyed Chuck and Key 19.99, 5 cfm at 90 1700 rpm. Out of the box it looked great no packing grease to remove, packaged nicely in bubble wrap with instructions and a chuck key, no air fitting (would be nice if that was included). I have been ...

Outdoor Furniture Protection

This products is an OIL BASED outdoor furniture protection finish. The can says it will stain seal and protect all in one coat. If you read the directions, a second coat can be applied 30 minutes after the first coat has been absorbed. I have redwood benches in my back yard. I sanded them all down with my NEW Festool sander and applied this finish. One quart allowed be to cover approximately 36 square feet of benches. The price was only $ 11.00 plus tax in Calfornia (yuk !). I used...

Good Bang for the Buck

Good Bang for the Buck

The AR118 is a compact portable electric power washer. It’s not in the same league as a $1500 commercial grade gas powered washer, but it’s plenty capable for average residential use, and is a solid bang for the buck. It’s small, lightweight, inexpensive, and very portable. It does an excellent job on vinyl siding, patio furniture, concrete, paint and stain removal from decks, and is great at pre-rinsing major dirt off the car, though you’ll still need to wash with so...

Crescent Brand Slide Adjustable Wrench

Crescent Brand Slide Adjustable Wrench

Yes, we are wood workers. But, we all have tools to assemble and maintain our woodworking tools. I came across this recently and (being a tool and gizmo junky) decided to give it a try. It works great at doing what it is supposed to do, but the speed is the real plus since you place it over the nut (or whatever) and just immediately have a perfect fit. It’s heavy and name brand, so i expect i’ll have it as long as I can keep track of it. I gave it four stars because I wish ...

Hole in hollow door

Hole in hollow door

I was freaking out about a crazy shaped hole on my door that I had to fix cheaply myself and as fast as possible (before tomorrow).Luckily the guys at my local hardware store were no strangers to holes in doors and confidently suggested i try this product. It was cheap, and all I needed was this, fine grit sand paper and paint (which i have) as well as a cheap plastic putty knife. This picture shown is just one application. As you can see the damage was pretty intense and I pretty much h...

Craftsman Automatic Power Switch

Craftsman Automatic Power Switch

I just purchased this item recently, but it works exactly as described and is a problem solver for me. I searched Lumberjocks to see if there was already a review. I see many references to this product, but no review. I did not know that this product even existed until about a week ago, so maybe my review will make it easier to find for future new Lumber Jocks. I found mine for $24.99 at the local Sears store. I used a $10 off coupon and so actually paid 14.99 plus tax. This grey pl...
