Great table saw for the money

Great table saw for the money

I bought this saw as a replacement for another cheapo saw which packed up on me :( I only paid £170 for the saw and after putting it together it ran fin and everything was set up apart from the blade not being parlell to the miter slots, however a quick turn with a screw driver fixed this. My only suggestion would be is to buy another saw with because the that came with only lasts a few cuts before requiring sharpening or other operations. All in all a good buy. Chad Aged 14

Hammer K3 Winner Review

Hammer K3 Winner Review

I noticed no one had posted a review about this saw so it’s time! Anyone who is interested in getting a SS ICS should consider this saw first. For a short time I had a Laguna Platinum series and was not pleased at all. Numerous problems, wobble in the arbor, not good. Sold it, saved my pennies and after a long process, decided on the Hammer. What a great decision! I have had it about 4 months and I smile every time I walk past it in the garage. Those Austrians have it going on. S...

What a great piece of equipment

What a great piece of equipment

I got this saw a few months ago. I figured I like it enough to write a review. Yes, the Sawstop always leads to heated discussions. This is a review of the saw and nothing else. I will admit, the safety is what first made me look at the Sawstop, However, it is the last thing I think about when I use it. I hope I never have to make use of the braking system, but if I do, I’ll be glad I got it. Speaking of that, I have not had any false triggers as of yet, and I hope to not ever. Th...

Like a lot of woodworkers, buying a cabinet saw was a big commitment for me. It wasn’t just a big financial decision; I also wanted to be sure I was going to have enough time between kids, a career, and other stuff that I’d feel like I really got my money’s worth out of it. My Ridgid contractor’s saw was doing a nice job for me already. But I like to make cabinets and, at the end of the day, it’s just not convenient to break down a 4×8 sheet of plywood wi...

So far..Great

I just finished assembling my new Ridgid R4512 table saw, and checking alignment with the elegant little Woodpecker saw gauge I purchased at the same time as the saw. Run-out on the blade was about .010”, but the run-out was a function of the blade, not the arbor’s alignment. The fence was easily adjusted, and I left it open beyond the blade about .003”. Although I have no operating experience yet with this saw, and therefore, can’t comment on its accuracy, repeatability or reliability over t...

My review is of the SawStop Industrial Cabinet saw ICS51230: 5 hp, 1 phase, 230 V 20 A I have not included much for Photos, check out Stevenmadden’s review here for a nice selection;http://lumberjocks.com/reviews/1462 My pertinent background:A carpenter in various trades since 1986, I have had opportunity to use dozens of tablesaws over the years.I consider the older Unisaw (circa 1930’s – 2006 ish) to be the industry standard cabinet saw, and have worked on about 10 ...

Great Saw

Great Saw

I have been using saws for almost 70 years. When I retired from contracting we sold our large home with my big shop and of course most of the large tools I owned. Table saws, radial arm saws etc. they all went. Our new home needed some repair but I was limited to tool space. I was into Lowe’s about three years ago and looked at the price and what I was getting, it went home with us. Is it perfect, no but you can not beat it for the price. Went together easy and is very sturdy whe...

Porter Cable 10" Table Saw model: 270TS

Well, this is my first review but this product impressed me so much I wanted to write one. For starters, I’m not nearly as knowledgeable as most on here and consider myself a beginner. I’ve never had access to really “nice” machines so always kinda “made due” with what I had. Up until now my table saw was a contractor style Makita 10” saw, which really isn’t capable or designed for precision…it’s for rough cutting 2X6’s and ...

Jet Cabinet Saw

Jet Cabinet Saw

I bought this table saw in March and I thought I would review it here as you have to do some digging to find reviews on this saw. The only other I found on this site was by Walnutz, a few months back. I have a blog with pics on the arrival condition and assembly on the saw so I won’t go into detail on that except to say that the saw arrived in absolutely perfect condition neatly on a pallet and shrink wrapped. This is my first true cabinet saw but in my research of and looking at the ma...

I statred working with mesquite wood about a year ago and one of the first machines I brought was the Ridge R4512 because of the price and the looks. One year later I am still trying to sell it. If I can’t sell it I will try to see if I can replace the motor with a motor with more HP. The Ridge R4512 is a good saw if you cut pine or soft wook BUT…..... it can’t cut mesquite or hard wood. It has a lot of problems cutting the wood. I have a lot of trouble cutting my wood for m...
