NEW TABLE SAW AND ACCESSORIES

03-04-2014 04:26 PM by Tomas Ferko | 6 comments »

So I just purchased my new Grizzly G0715P Hybrid and I absolutely love it. I sold my G1023 left tilt 3 HP. for the money I got this new table saw and lots of accessories. Incra miter gauge 1000 HD, PSI dust hood and collection from PSI woodworking products. Also made new out feed table and project note clipboard as you will see in the pictures. It’s great because you can bring your paperwork with cut list to the table saw and just work without moving away from the saw.The out feed ta...

New Craftsman 10" Table Saw 21833

New Craftsman 10" Table Saw 21833

I got this saw last weekend and I finally had a chance to put it together and I do have to say I am excited. I had an old craftsman little contractor saw with the weird miter slots and the underpowered motor, which wasn’t very accurate. This new saw, (after spending 6 hours assembling and aligning it, and help from 3 people to flip it over) work amazing. I get nice clean and accurate cuts, (with a new blade and not the one that it came with). The fence is solid and accurate with the ta...

I have no complaints with this saw. It’s a great buy for the money. I’ve only used it for one project so far so if things change I’ll update this. I doubt they will though. Pros:-Enough power for what what just about anyone will do.-Fence alignment is easy.-Blade alignment is easy, I think they worked out all the problems there. blade to miter slot is easy…still has other problems noted below-Mobile base is smooth.-4” dust collection port. Cons:-none so far...

Craftsman 10” Table Saw with Laser Trac® (21807) (In Canada – CRAFTSMAN®/MD Limited Edition 10’’ Table Saw with Stand – item 097 827 835 10) I’ve been meaning to type this up for a while but haven’t gotten around to it. After seeing another forum inquiring about a problem with the tablesaw I decided to stop slacking and get this done. The saw itself has decent power and will cut through 2 inches of hard maple without too much trouble as long as you go slow. It co...

After resolving initial issues, this is a great saw!

After resolving initial issues, this is a great saw!

Initial Lemon Things did not start out so happily for me and the G0715P. It arrived off the UPS truck looking like it had probably been tipped over once or twice, but given that it was pretty well packaged I didn’t reject the shipment. I was able to get it down into my basement with a hand truck and unpacked it – no noticeable damage. I went through the entire setup process and everything seemed to be going well, until I tried to install the blade. There is a arbor lock but...

SawStop 3HP 10-inch Cabinet Saw with 36" T-Glide Fence

SawStop 3HP 10-inch Cabinet Saw with 36" T-Glide Fence

Back story: When I purchased a Grizzly 1023RLW earlier this year, I actually wanted the SawStop 3HP Professional. I did so, as many of us have, because of the price of the Grizzly and the fact that it is a fantastic saw. I told myself that I’d get the Grizzly, use the money I saved from not buying the SawStop for other tools, and just be extra careful. To date, I have not had an accident on a table saw after years of use. By using all the typical safety techniques, I haven’t even ...

Hitachi C10RA3 Review

Hitachi C10RA3 Review

I have had this saw for sometime now and all I can say about it is for others not to buy one. I suppose my purchase of this is out of pure ignorance in serious wood working / hobby & crafting. I thought I knew tools since I had been a contractor for 30 years but boy O boy was I wrong. First of all the miter gauge is an odd ball size which made building my table sled a real challenge. I also had a difficult time building a zero clearance dado blade insert for it because of the flanges a...

R4512 Table Saw Assembly tip - Lubrication / Table Cleaning

R4512 Table Saw Assembly tip - Lubrication / Table Cleaning

I recently purchased and assembled a Home Depot Ridgid R4512 table saw. I took my time assembling the saw and enlisted help (it’s heavy). I have two suggestions during assembly. One – while the saw is upside down and before you attached the dust chute and base legs, lubricate the gear shafts of both the bevel and up/down adjustments. My saw had minimal grease. Easy to do at this stage – not so sure later. Two – to get rid of the nasty oil film from factory on...

He added a 30” fence rail ,had it dialed in extremely tight. feather boards galore ,push sticks, home aid router attachment ,and Two cross cut sleds..i still have my eye open for another one just because the 2HP is lacking power..or maybe I just need to break down and but a high dollar blade? Any thoughts or recommendations? All together I give it s B+ (image off google)

Excellent Quality, Anxiety Gone, Cost a Non-Factor

I just got back into wood working a little over a year ago and bought a very nice used Delta Contractor Saw. I had no issues with the power and attributes of a fine running machine. A fine running machine I operated for over a year without a blade guard (SHAME on me!) as my respect of the saw’s power was high and my fear was low on using this machine. I was ripping about a 12” wide board in half that was about a foot long. The wood rose up and kicked back, hitting me square in the...
