Grizzly G0771 Table Saw

Grizzly G0771 Table Saw

Overall I am happy with this saw. I will start with the good aspects of it. It has a decent fence and is fairly accurate once set up properly. The motor is powerful enough to do repeated 2 inch thick cuts in white oak. The blade raises and tilts very well. The saw is built heavy enough to make it run smoothly. And it can be set up 120 or 240. Now onto the cons, The dust collection is horrible. Even with the saw hooked strait up to the dust collector the majority of the dust stays in the cabin...

My Thoughts on the SawStop Professional Table Saw

My Thoughts on the SawStop Professional Table Saw

09-08-2015 02:48 PM by Rockfoot | 27 comments »

I’ve been woodworking since my 8th grade wood shop class back in 1982, but I didn’t purchase my own table saw until about 12 years ago. I bought a Rigid contractor saw from Home Depot and it served me well for many years. Since then, I’ve added many other large tools like the jointer, planer, bandsaw, router table etc… to complete my shop. A few months ago, I decided it was time to upgrade my old table saw to a 3HP professional grade cabinet saw. I narrowed down ...

Couldn't be happier

Couldn't be happier

Since I was younger, I have always had the woodworking bug. Well, for my 41st birthday, my Wife decided to buy me a saw so I could learn the craft/hobby. Initially, we were looking at the portable saws like in HomeDept, Lowes, etc. I do not have a dedicated shop, as we park our cars in the garage, so portability was a concern and consequently, I was looking for as much saw as I could fit with the smallest footprint and one that I could afford. I looked at new, used, Craigslist…all o...

I discovered Lumberjocks while researching my new saw purchase, so I thought it only right to make my first post a review of my new saw. As you can see it is a Grizzly 1023RL. I have been using it for five weeks and am ready to give my opinion. Assembly was straight forward. The manual is very good with no confusing translations. The only hassle was getting the extension wings perfectly flat to the table. It probably would have been a little easier with some assistance, but I was work...

Chose G0715P over G0771

Chose G0715P over G0771

Just received new G0715p. Lift gate delivery worth the $35 extra. I assembled on my own. Had to tip cabinet 45 degrees and support to remove pallet bolts. With bolts removed, lifted pallet way and tipped cabinet back up. Rating 4star until I get a chance to work more with the saw. Next step was to slide the shopfox base under the cabinet. Used long wrecking bar to lift cabinet edge and slip wood block to support. This left enough clearance to slide the base underneath in two pieces. Onc...

Review of Bosch 4100-09 saw and stand

PLEASE EXCUSE THE PICTURE, LUMBER JOCKS REQUIRED ONE. I AM AWAY FROM HOME AND COULDN’t RUN OUT TO THE GARAGE TO SNAP A SHOT. I am writing a review of my Bosch saw after a few months of use. I bought this saw last November after my Ryobi saw up and died during a project. I looked at several saws in the $600-$800 range and narrowed it down to four options. The Bosch and DeWalt jobsite saws, and the Delta and Ridgid contractor saws. My requirements were in a realativly compact saw th...

Great Saw!

Great Saw!

This is only my second saw, so that may limit the impact of my review, but it just might be my last! This beauty is built to last! I upgraded from a craftsman contractor saw, which was wildly inaccurate, but allowed me to realize that woodworking is going to be a lifetime passion of mine. A big factor in choosing this saw for me was the 115V option. Plus, the Powermatic logo screams quality to me. Obviously the saw is amazing, especially compared to the contractor saw i had previously. ...

Milling problem on table from manufacturer

Milling problem on table from manufacturer

UpdateThis is a review of the customer service I’ve received from Grizzly for the above mentioned G0691 which arrived defective. I have not been able to use the saw yet and I will review that at a later time. If I ever get a working version. So I’ve been a member for a while but haven’t posted yet. I’m in the process of setting up my new 24×24 shop. After reading countless reviews and looking at my budget I decided on using the Grizzly brand for my large power ...

Great Saw - Keep it in Context

Great Saw - Keep it in Context

I have had this saw for two weeks and felt I had used it enough to write a balanced review of it. As you can see from the pics, I have added a router table extension, sacrificial fence, and a router fence. In summary, it is exactly what I was looking for. The footprint is perfect for a basement or garage shop and the mobile base works extremely well and is built to handle this 260lb saw. Getting the saw home is a bear. I was doing it solo and I have a basement workspace so I actually e...
