- Delivery and Assembly: I recently bought a Grizzly G0175P Hybrid Table Saw, mainly to get dust collection capability with relatively low operating noise, and I wasn’t disappointed. Delivery was prompt and the packaging was effective with no visible damage. Lacking a forklift or loading dock in my garage, I did have to pay Grizzly an extra $34 freight charge for lift gate delivery. Fit and finish at first glance looked excellent. The components, including the 2 hp motor,...

Preface The original purpose of this review was to review, in detail, the Steel City 35990G table saw from a first hand user point of view. In the end, I ran into a couple of problems that I just could not put aside. I hope you find the review helpful if you are considering this saw. Purchase & Shipping My wife purchased this saw as a Christmas present. Purchased from Amazon, shipped by freight (Pilot). Pilot missed the delivery date, but delivered the next day and the package lo...

Grizzly Cabinet Saw Review G0690

Grizzly Cabinet Saw Review G0690

I’ve used LumberJocks extensively to look at reviews of tools so I thought I would join and contribute with some content of my own. I purchased this table saw about 2 months ago and have been happy with my decision. Grizzly has recently started to ship to Canada so this has opened another possibility with regard to the saws I looked at. In summary I considered General, Delta, Jet, SawStop and decided on Grizzly because of the value for the money and I like the company and owners stor...

Sears Contractor Saw 21833

Sears Contractor Saw 21833

I think I’ve read most of the postings on the 21833. Picked mine up today. Based on what I’d read I expected a big forklift or crane to appear but there was just this little guy pushing a hand truck. He and a buddy pushed it up on the trailer and away we went. Off loading it was a breeze. Backed it up to my shop door and a couple of us carefully lowered it to my hand truck and wheeled it into the shop. Getting all the parts out of the box was a pain because you have to break up...

My New Grizzly G0715P Table Saw

My New Grizzly G0715P Table Saw

I received my saw 4 days after placing the order and am very pleased with this product! With the help of Ellen35, I assembled the mobile base and got the saw up and running with very few set-backs. The hardest part was getting the saw from the driveway down into my basement shop! The Shop Fox mobile base is very sturdy and makes moving it a breeze. The wings were installed without much effort and the table is dead flat. The only problem with installing the rails wasn’t noticed unt...

Polar Bear in Texas! G0715P

I assembled my new G0715P table saw today! First Impression:This thing is sweet! The nickle did not move a bit during the test. I used the blade that came with it for my tests before putting on my infinity blade. It cut clean, smooth and left a almost glue ready edge. Conversion to 110:The conversion to 110 was very easy. Of all things, I was the most nervous about this. Changing the circuit breaker was 3 screws, changing the plug was 3 wires and changing the jumpers was 4 screws. VERY ...

Polar Bear in Florida!

Polar Bear in Florida!

I ordered this Grizzly Hybrid saw online on a Friday afternoon. Grizzly sent me an email with all of the shipping information and tracking number. The order was shipped the following Monday and 3 days later it was in my garage! FIRST IMPRESSION The first thing I noticed was the quality of the packaging. The saw was packed very neatly and securely and arrived without any damage. I was even more pleased when I started the unpacking process. I was very impressed with the overall quality of...

So I got this saw some weeks ago and it spent a week sitting assembled before I finally got the 220V circuit wired in the garage. I came from a cheap aluminium top table saw, the table was extremely small and fence extremely lacking. I may have had the blade miraculously adjusted to within 0.001” but that only helped my crosscuts. I even designed table extensions so that I can attach a real fence to it, but after many hours in solidworks I finally discovered that was not going to work well in...

Happy with it for the money

Happy with it for the money

About a year ago I picked up my first table saw, an older craftsman contractor saw, for about a hundred dollars. I took it home, cleaned it up, replaced the blade with a freud diablo combination blade, and spent a lot of time tuning it. It didnt take me long to figure out that it was underpowered, the fence was terrible and would not stay aligned and the belt pully had a habit of flying off mid cut (even after being replaced). I spent several months dealing with it and finally decided I ...

First "Real" Table Saw Doesn't Disappoint

First "Real" Table Saw Doesn't Disappoint

After outgrowing my $100 Ryobi TS; I decided rather than slightly upgrade, to buy a saw that (hopefully) will last a lifetime. I decided on a granite top TS partly due to the climate I live in; it goes down to -30 in the winter, and I didn’t want my top to warp or rust when I heat my garage. Assembly was relatively pain free; it involved attaching the extension wing, the fence guide bars and the plug; overall about 3h worth of work. The fence needed a very slight adjustment to be parall...
