Solid brad nailer

Solid brad nailer

1991 days ago by sry | 4 comments »

After debating for a while, I decided to buy this brad nailer. I was torn between this and the PC 2” model, but when I couldn’t find a good deal on the compressor/nailer combo kit I decided to go a different route. I’m glad I did (although I’m sure the PC nailer would have been great) I went to Home Depot and Lowes to handle some different nailers and see which ones I liked: weight, ease of loading, tip visibility, etc. I ended up choosing this one simply because i...

Video Review of Hitachi's 2" Brad Nailer

Here is my review of a great little brad nailer that I have owned for over two years. Since this is a video, I was wondering if I should post it as a “video” blog post also? I figured I would ask so people wouldn’t think I was spamming or something.

Very Nice 23ga Pin Nailer

Very Nice 23ga Pin Nailer

1172 days ago by Michael J | 6 comments »

Admittedly, this is my first 23ga pinner, so I don’t have anything to compare it to. However, I have 3 other Porter Cable nails gun, so I do have some frame of reference when it comes to pneumatic nail guns. I had done a lot of research on pin nailers and was just about to make a purchase when I came across a few reviews on the Rotek 23ga pin nailer. The reviews I read were very favorable and I liked the features that it came with, especially at the $99 price tag. I was origina...

Basic, reliable workhorse, lacking finer features, but well worth the money.

A quick rundown of the Central Pneumatic 97526 23ga pnuematic pin nailer. For starters, this IS a Harbor Freight tool. And like most Harbor Freight stuff, it is lacking many of the more refined features of more expensive tools. But at a price of $22.99 minus a 20% coupon discount, you can walk into your shop with one of these, and a fatter wallet to boot! Air consumption was reasonable as my little 2 HP 8 gallon compressor (Central Pneumatic 95386 easily able to keep up with the air demand...

Who's got two thumbs and loves to staple?

Who's got two thumbs and loves to staple?

This guy. This stapler shoots 1/2” to 1 1/2” narrow crown staples. Have you ever had to remove a freakin’ narrow crown staple. It is not coming out. Staples resist racking. I use this for reinforcing cabinets and attaching their backs. Very strong. Also it is awesome for building lattice. Brads and finish nails will pull out. Staples hold strong. (Use galvanized for outdoor.) I would definitely buy another P.C. gun. No jams. No problemo. 4 stars because how...

Not exactly a fine woodworking tool, but it sure does drive nails!

Not exactly a fine woodworking tool, but it sure does drive nails!

I have now owned mine for about 6 months, and put it through plenty of hard paces. The good, the bad, and the ugly of it… The good…Purchase price $49.99 (had a GREAT coupon)...Drives a good variety of nail sizes.Safety works very well.Reasonable magazine capacity. The bad…Uses a LOT of air. My little HF compressor cycles a LOT when I use this thing.Shortest nails this will shoot 2-3/16”, would like to shoot 2” nails with it.Limited to 28 degree nails.Lack o...

Buyer Beware!

Buyer Beware!

I bought this at Home Depot about a year ago and so far it’s been nothing but trouble! I wanted a stapler and I think this was on sale for $110.00 at the time. It was a brad nailer as well, but the stapler was the reason I purchased it as I already own a brad nailer. I didn’t use it as soon as I got it home as I was busy with other things and I guess that was my mistake, if I had of used it there and then it would have been back to the store immediately. It was a little over a ...
