Now mind you I have only had this machine for 1 month .and my shop is small, no planer to fill the bags ..but i love it so far …At 1.5 HP the power is terrific. The noise level rated in the book is 87db and actually it seems less when i run it …I did opt for the Shop Fox remote as it seems when ever I want to turn on my DC system I am on the other side of the room …so with 2 remotes …i attached to a stick and earth magnet on the back i can hang one from my bandsaw and...
Delta 50-760 best dust collector of its class

Wow, is all I have to say. This was a part graduation part birthday present and I have to say I love this thing. It has made my woodworking experience a whole lot better. I bought about fifty feet of PVC and ran it along all the walls in my shop connecting it to my jointer, table saw, bandsaw, router table, and put in a handy floor sweep. I even put in a shop vac port that can hook right up to a shop vac hose and I can use it for my miter saw or for sanding or routing. I installed blast gates...
New Dust Collection System Just installed

This is one of the most efficient dust collectors I have run across in quite some time. The manufacturers have managed to keep the noise levels down to almost unbelievable readings and kept electric costs down to nearly nothing. However, I have been notified that refrigeration costs have increased in some workshops. I am impressed as to how these items work together as a whole, with the Harper bench brush raking dust onto the floor so that the Publix broom can pull the sawdust away from prob...
Delta Dust Collector Model 50-760

I also have this dust collector and have been very pleased with it. The one micron top bag does an excellent job of filtering. My garage shop is small and I simply move the dust collector around or switch the hose from one machine to another. At this point I don’t intend to add any piping other than to perhaps rig something for my router table. Prior to purchasing the Delta unit, I used an old Sears shop vacuum. The Delta unit is much quieter and does a dramatically better job. ...

I purchased this at the Baltimore Woodworking Show recently. I was in the market for one (cough, cough, wheeze ? ) and was looking at both the Delta and the Steel City. They had received the best reviews so I thought I would look at them first hand. The found that the both machines were fairly comparable in statics but the Steel City came at a better price; I picked it up for $320 including tax which was about $40 less than the Delta. I do like the 1 micron bag that comes standard. I also ...
Delta 50-760 1-1/2 HP 1200 CFM Dust Collector

Just received and set up my new dust collector for the shop. Since I moved in to the enclosed shop out of the garage, I found the 1 hp JET wasn’t doing the job. What interested me about the Delta is the 1 micron upper bag. After reading the recent reviewsd in WOOD Magazine on dust collectors. and doing my own internet research I settled on this unit. Purchased on-line and shipped in by truck. The box was about 95# and not too hard to handle, luck would have it I was home today to receiv...
Dust Deputy

My review is of Oneida’s Dust Deputy. http://www.dustdeputy.com/ I’ve had this addition to my shop vac for a little over a year and it is performing very well. Order/Assembly:I ordered mine online directly from Oneida and it came, unassembled, in a very short amount of time. Ordering was fast and easy. Assembly was quick but did involve silicon sealant. This is placed between the lower canister and the upper cone to create an air tight seal between the parts. It took about 15 min...
my dust collector

Let me first say that this is the only dust collector that I have ever owned so I can’t make a comparision betweein this one and any other collector. Now for the review. From out of the box it took me about 3 hours to have it hanging on the wall. This sucker is heavy so you better have a friend or two to help with the lifting. After the installaton I was surprised at how strong this collector is. My shop is 20’x40’ and I can put my planner at the end of my shop and it has no...
Jet AFS-1000B Air Filtration System

I love this thing. My workshop is a small section in the rear of my basement. Just getting started, I was getting dust everywhere as I have a contractor type table saw. I’m working on collecting that dust at the source better, but stuff still gets in the air. My entire basement was covered with dust before I had this. I’ve had it for a few months now and I can honestly say I notice a difference. The air is cycled every so many minutes and if I leave it run for a couple hours...
Delta dust collection, 2nd stage.

Since my comment on the origional entry I have received requests to show and explain my hookup for cyclone type lid and can. pic.1 shows the DC conected to the planer and the joiner. Each has a seperate blast gate. Since they operate in opisite directions the conecting hoses are never in they way. To me the key is the light gray hose. its very stiff and high quality. It also comes with the DC. Since the direction of the intake is changeable, in this type of configuration ‘up’ is...
