Little green screwdriving man

Little green screwdriving man

I bought this to replace my 18v DeWalt hammer drill as my go-to screwdriver. I got the hex chuck version – it’s nice to be able to slip bits in and not have to deal with tightening the chuck. You can also get drill bits and countersinks in hex shank, so if you need to use it for those functions as well, you can. My primary objective with this purchase was to get something lighter, and therefore easier to get into tight spots and to reduce the strain on my arm when doing a lot...

The Milwaukee C12D

The Milwaukee C12D

This is probably the best drill/driver I ever had; it scores 100% in my ratings. It’s a heavy duty cordless drill/driver and it can work all day with 1 ½ batteries I was so surprised with its power lightness in handling it and it outlasted both Bosch and Makita by far. Bought it a year ago brand new in sealed case from a very reputable tool store and it was not cheap. Unless you own one you cannot grasp the value of this tool. Here are the technical specs for this masterpiece ...

I wish I had this years ago

I wish I had this years ago

My wife got me a craftsman impact driver for my birthday a while back. I know some people like to pick on craftsman, but I already had their cordless drill and I wanted to stick with interchangeable batteries. I use the 19.2V Ni-Cds. I know a lot of people swear by the Li-Ion, but those cost a lot more money. Now I’ll be able to upgrade in the future if I want, but based on my experience so far, I have no plans to do so. This thing is AWESOME! I can drive a 3” screw into a...

Makita LCT 209 Combo Kit: Does size really matter? It does when you’re using a cordless drill or driver all day or when you find yourself working over your head or in tight spaces, like building or installing kitchen cabinets. Makita recently introduced its 12 volt, LCT 209 12volt Combo Kit that includes the 3/8” Drill (model #FD02), the ¼” Impact Driver (model #DT01) and the battery charger (model #DC10WB) and what a combination it is. A versatile, light weight, well balanced combinati...

By no means am I an expert qualified to give a professional review of this combo pack. But as the owner of a Remodeling company and a hobbyist woodworker I wanted to give my input on the dynamic duo… First off, Guys everything you hear about “Size Matters” is a myth in this case!! When it comes to the compact power of these mini work horses, don’t let the size fool you.. After purchasing my first set, I put it straight into the mix. From the very first jobsite, t...

Newest 12 Volt Lith

Newest 12 Volt Lith

I just wanted to share the latest addition to my cordless tool set. I have been building my Makita LXT inventory throughout the years. In the past I have used several brands of the 12 volt lithium sets. I first bought a Sears Nextec drill/jigsaw/flashlight set. It actually was a good set, but I found a few annoying things about the tools. The sears drill had a sticky speed switch and the jigsaw was awkward to hold in your hand and switch on. It worked better as a reciprocating saw. To ofte...

Using money I had gotten for my Birthday(ahead of time) and Christmas(gift cards for Lowes.) I bought a Porter Cable Drill and Circular Saw combo kit… $90… thats $10 cheaper than just the drill. Granted I did give up the Hard Case for the Soft Bag. It seemed common sence. I dont use the bag/cases much anyway… So alright, its no DeWalt. But its better than what I am used to. Now, yea, I have trouble with almost everything D/PC, but I figure maybe Ill have better luck ...

Not well made

Not well made

I’m a DIY guy who’s getting into my 60’s and have learned that it pays to buy good tools. In other words, you get what you pay for. That’s why I felt good when I bought this Milwaukee hammer drill. Milwaukee makes good stuff, right? Not. I hadn’t used the drill more than a dozen times when the variable speed feature quit. Now, you don’t want to be using a high torque 1/2” drill without variable speed – unless you don’t care if your arm ...

Makits Combo Driver and Drill set....

Makits Combo Driver and Drill set....

For years I have used Makita cordless tools. I was using my 9.6 volt drill about two years ago when a friend came by and began to brag on his 18 volt Dewalt drill/driver. This prompted me to start looking around for an 18 volt set to replace my rather gutless 25 year old unit.We were in Home Depot and they were having a sale on combo kits and if you bought the kit, they would throw in an extra battery free. There was the Makita combo kit with the charger and two batteries for $279.00. We che...
