Tune your machines to perfection, Install jointer knives flawlessly

I’ve been reviewing some of my favorite Harbor Freight gems and this is the latest: The Cen-Tech 623 Dial Indicator. I’ve wanted a machinist dial gauge for a while, they’re fantastic for fine tuning your workshop machines, adding super precision to jigs, even easily and accurately installing jointer knives. But they are usually pricey in my opinion, especially when you add the stand. But Harbor Freight has come through again! First of all, if you check it out on the we...

A Real Toolsaver

A Real Toolsaver

I bought this metal detector about 4 years ago when starting to recycle some black walnut trim from our old farmhouse. I could see some exposed heads of the old steel spikes but was concerned about what I couldn’t see, and I didn’t want my planer to be the first to know. These are on sale now at Harbor Freight for $16 and I think that is about what I paid for them a year ago. I know what you are thinking because I thought the same thing, “How c...

This is what I usually use to burn wood I recently posted a CD case and soon hope to make a frame. It is a generally good pen and was only 30 dollars. On the down side it takes a good 10 minutes to heat up.
