I just finished a putting new decking and railing on our deck (okay, so my son and his friend did a lot of the work). I have two Bosch 12v drivers that I really like for woodworking use, but I figured a more robust tool would come in handy for the deck. I am reviewing my 12v Li-Ion Porter Cable drill/driver combo. I bought these one day walking through the big box store where they were on an end cap display. At $100 for a set, minus military discount it seemed like a no brained. Been using Porter Cable routers Since mid 80’s. Cant wear them out. Well at least not till now. I was setting the adjustments on my plunge router when the handle suddenly just broke. My thumb got a pretty good slice in the process. Luckily it wasn’t running at the time, that could have been disastrous. Had a break in the middle of my project because I’m waiting on some parts, so I decided to review one of my recent tool purchases. I bought it at Lowes for $35.
