The task was to lower a bar stool 2 1/4”.And not have the usual problem with not level legs when we got done. We also had a Fein Multimaster and the new Porter Cable SoniCrafter To ensure the same length was cut off each leg we cut a piece of PVC to 2 1/4”.The Fein and the PC each had a couple of blades that could be used but we took the round serrated blades as they were the same thickness. We just ran the blades around the leg resting them on the PVC. That gave us a uniform...

The Fein Multimaster handles every job with ease and precision. The bit changing process is very easy and holds the tool very solidly. I tried cutting wood, and 1/8 ” aluminum , cutting holes for my car speaker sheet metal, and sanding. It does everything well, and cuts through sheet metal much easier than the rotozip or dremel with metal cutting disk. I just bought a Fein 9-20-24 Mini Turbo vacuum. The features are: 6-gals, compact, quiet (60dB), variable speed, 6 wheels for stability, cloth filter bag that extracts 5 micron dust, 16’ hose and cord. You can also plug your equipment into it and when you start up you machine it automatically turns the vac on and off when using the machine. It is a little pricey but will worth it. I highly recommend this vaccum.

This top is veneered out of some unidentified wood that looks like a cross between birch, maple and European Beech. But the edging was shaped w...

Fein Review of the Multimaster

I pretty much fell in love with the Fein Multimaster within the first 5 seconds of the store demo. Fein has a demo stand set up at the ToolKing Superstore (and probably other places where it is sold) and I tried it out cutting grout. It removed the grout easily and quickly and with no strain on my part. As someone who has used a hand grout scraper to scrape out the group in a bathroom, this tool was like a dog door to a 9-5er. The Fein Multimaster will save you time because it does all th...
