I’ve used Minwax Brushing Lacquer before under ideal conditions (temperature, light, clean surfaces) and gotten really crappy results. Bought the Watco. Brushed it on a surface that still needed some work, and I did it at 40 degrees. Results were the best brushed finish I have ever produced. REALLY IMPRESSED with it. Quick coats, thin layers, nice flat surface resulting. No sags or drips and the finish flattened even though I was 15 degrees below recommended application tempera...

This products is an OIL BASED outdoor furniture protection finish. The can says it will stain seal and protect all in one coat. If you read the directions, a second coat can be applied 30 minutes after the first coat has been absorbed. I have redwood benches in my back yard. I sanded them all down with my NEW Festool sander and applied this finish. One quart allowed be to cover approximately 36 square feet of benches.
