In my review for Klingspor sandpaper, I mentioned I had issues with the diablo sandpaper. I also posted a review of the diablo sandpaper on the home depot website. A few weeks later, I got an email from a home depot employee that specializes in the Diablo line that HD carries. After a brief email exchange, he called me with one of Frued’s lead developers for the diablo sandpaper on the phone. We spent about an hour talking about my sanding experience. Not very descriptive title but accurate. Around Christmas I bought a bag of these for $5 and feel I was ripped off. I didn’t even open the bag until a month ago and three have gone in the trash. One was clamped to a wood extension on my miter gauge, came apart and flew into the blade, no damage except to my wits. Another was clamping my drill press fence and suddenly exploded, again my wits took a beating. On another, the spring just broke through the handle. Quite a few more feel like ...

OK, a spring clamp is hardly a tool that dreams are made of. But a few days ago it occured to me that I’ve had a pair of these exact clamps in my shop for a few years now. I’ve probably used them 483 times since then. Very strong, very good quality. I found this Bucket Head Vacuum on display at Home Depot a while back & decided to give it a try. Heck… It’s only 20 bucks & uses an ordinary 5 gallon plastic bucket for collection of dust & chips. (I just happen to have acquired a couple of plastic buckets that have the same rim dimensions but hold about 7-1/2 gsllons & are several inches taller.)
