With an upcoming kitchen remodel looming, I decided to bite the bullet and get a quality spray finishing system. After much research, I narrowed my options down to one of the Fuji 4-stage systems. I went back and forth between the mini-mite 4 and the Q4 systems. In the end I decided that the nearly $300 premium was more than I wanted to pay for the noise reduction features of the Q4 (plus I wear hearing protection for most of the power tools in my shop anyway). So i bought the q4 in july 2012. I have used it a couple dozen times on everything from full kitchens to tiny wine balancers. I want to start by saying this is a great unit. I love the xpc gun. I dont have a crazy amount of experience spraying finishes but i have done my fair share over the years. I have used several different types and this is by far the best i have ever used. I was, up to this point using a Lemmer A-710S bleeder that came with the T-55Q Two-Stage turbine. It did a great job with most basic finishing and I never really had noticed any need to improve the equipment. The problems that did exist where generally in terms of cleaning, because it was a standard bottom-feeding type of gun with a 1 quart capacity which was a too big for most jobs. I needed to clear coat some pretty large plywood items and used it is as an excuse to buy a spray gun. Initially I bought 2 stage unit but after thinking about it more I though that I might run into situation where it will not be enough. Fortunately retailer had no problem upgrading the unit ( I even did not unpack it). When I opened Mini Mite 4 I found a pleasant surprise .
