When I first saw this saw I though how cute, so little. But I knew it was just up my alley. This is not for home repairs or major construction, but is brilliant at cutting small parts. Hook it up to a frued 7 1/2 60tooth blade and you get great smooth cut small parts. I use it for segment turning in cutting the small angles and I also use it in making bandings and fan motifs. If your cutting small parts this is a great saw.

Strength, reliability, and affordability

Strength, reliability, and affordability

I bought a set of Ryobi One+ tools a couple of years ago. The reasons I bought the set are several. Affordability was chief among them. I don’t remember how much the set was but it was half what the DeWalt set was while still being 18v. The drill that came with the set was almost the same as the P211 but without the hammer drill feature and the accompanying handle. It was very durable, very dependable, but the trigger switch went out after only a year. I bought a new switch and in...

Nice scroll saw that has some useful features

Nice scroll saw that has some useful features

I do not use this saw much, but I got it on clearance at Home Depot some time ago, and do manage to make the purchase worth the cost from time to time. Yep, it no longer is available there as a new item, but Sears still has the same unit available in its stores (in a different color, of course), and used items might be on hand here and there. Other than more vibration than I like, this saw works OK. I found that by mounting the thing to a heavy bench (which itself is bolted to the shop wa...

Best used Tool I ever purchased

I got this Ryobi 1300 Planer 3 years ago…I took a shot at it for $100 used, but actually almost new…the owner passed away just after buying it, and his wife sold it to me, I would have given her more, but that’s all she wanted. I have the box, receipt, EVERYTHING!I’ve had a Delta, and and an ole General…I gotta give this Ryobi the props though…and it is the ONLY Ryobi tool I own…I am not a big fan, but this older 1300 is a great design. The lock is...

Easy to use and does what it's supposed to do.

I have had this biscuit joiner the (JM82) for a few months and it has worked well. It’s easy to adjust and handle. It seem a little more powerful than a porta cable one that I had used, it get up to full speed quicker than the PC. The case is nice, but the bag location is a little awkward. It would also be nice if there were a better way to store extra biscuits in it. Additionally the cord gets bent pretty tight when put in the case, just past the strain relief on the unit, I cu...

I bought a starter kit, at my local Home Depot, about a year ago and it is great. The package I bought included A Cordless Drill, A Impact Drill, A Circular Saw, A Radio, A Vacuum, A Reciprocating Saw, and A Sander. I have had only a few problems with it, but for my first set of tools, it is a great set. Problems that I have had include the chuck sticking on the Impact Drill. I wish this kit came with another battery and charger, but I went and bought the extra two batteries and charger. I wo...

Sorry to say that this little sander only gets a two star rating. I have had this sander less than a year and the bearing under the sanding plate has froze. It had such potential. ConsThe loading of sandpaper is not that great. But once you get the paper aligned and under the holders its OK. Loud Dust control not great and shop vac couldn’t be connected to the port. The sander has been used maybe 6 times. The past two days it was being used to sand the planter boxes and benc...

Plenty of power, good chuck, a little noisy.

Plenty of power, good chuck, a little noisy.

It’s been nearly two years since I purchased my Ryobi D46CK driver drill to replace an old Craftsman drill that had been on long term loan a little too long… The features I liked about this particular drill were the fact that it had a keyless chuck, with a good, predictable chuck. The blow molded case helps with storage and at least TRYING to keep my shop tidy. Power from this drill has been great, after Hurricane Ike I used it with a 1.5” long shaft (18”) spade ...

Ryobi Right-Angle Drill

Ryobi Right-Angle Drill

I used this drill in conjunction with a Ridgid right-angle impact driver (also reviewed previously) to install some crown moldings on kitchen cabinets that I installed some years back. My wife and an interior designer she hired made the suggestion and I always follow my wife’s suggestions. The drill was used to help secure hidden backer boards to the cabinet top edges. I had already attached the backers to the moldings out in my workshop. The Ryobi unit worked just fine in that tight...

Great Tool and Even Better Customer Service From Home Depot

Great Tool and Even Better Customer Service From Home Depot

Wife purchased an additional smoke detector and Carbon Monoxide Detector today, which required me to get out the drill. I received this as a gift last year after my prior drill of 10 years died. I really do not need much more than this as I really do not have a need. So it meets my needs. It is comfortable to hold and use, the battery life is very good, as is the ability to perform as a drill and driver and general uses as a flap sander, wire wheel distress-er etc . I use it in the sho...
