A versatile tool for small cuts and other tricks

A versatile tool for small cuts and other tricks

Well, I finally got my Jointmaker Pro V2. I mainly bought this tool to make kerf bending, inlay, and a few other ideas I have for spiffing up projects. The tool comes in a fairly small box, there are a lot of pieces and assembly instructions are very explicit and easy to follow, the machine can be put together in one afternoon. When I got my tool, there were a few parts missing or the wrong size, being BCT once I contacted them I was sent the parts at no charge to me via Fedex, great se...

Bridge City Tool Works JM Pro Single Wing and Dovetails

I have been looking at Bridge City products for some time. I haven’t used them, however, because of the cost. You see, I never drove a Jaguar before. Well, recently I purchased the Bridge City Tool Work’s “Jointmaker Pro Single Wing” saw. This tool, ‘merely’, is a japanese saw blade tucked away in a unit that permits wood cutting operations. I immediately went to loosen the thumb screws and mess around with it, but I couldn’t get the silv...

Kerfmaker uses

I broke down and bought one of these gadgets despite the high price since I planned to give it a lot of use. It works as advertised but I had a different application in mind than cutting half laps or kerfs. I wanted to use it for its opposite function, one not advertised, making tenons. I understand that Bridge City plans to introduce a new tool for this purpose, but I think they don’t understand that the Kerfmaker can already do this. The key is to invert your thinking and instead of u...

Kerfmaker- ingenious tool

Kerfmaker- ingenious tool

I got this awhile back and since it was small I specifically placed it where I wouldn’t forget. Yea, right—you older folks know what happened. I finally stumbled upon it and will never decipher the irrational thought process I used to tuck it away. It’s sad when you amuse yourself in this manner. Anyway, about the Kerfmaker (disclaimer-no ties, connections or compensation and paid full price) However if the manufacturer feels inclined to toss me a bone, I’ll gladly pim...
