Looks good so far

Looks good so far

I’m giving this five stars for now with the disclaimer that I’ve only used it for a short while on one day so far. I will update this if any problems arise. I see some of the issues with the older models, but the Airshield Pro seems to have corrected some of those. For example it is very light. I saw some complaints on the older one being heavy. They also say the current battery will run all day but I haven’t tried it yet so I don’t know. Here’s why I b...

Trend T4 Router

Trend T4 Router

Its got a brilliant variable speed adjustment and there start/stop switch is easily reached. Although it doesn’t have a soft start, it doesn’t really need it as it doesn’t really jerk when its switched on. One of the complaints people have is there is no fine height adjustment. No there isn’t but you can buy one to screw on for a small extra cost, but this is a budget router. You can’t expect it to have everything. The guide bushes are very easily attached to t...

Trend 60T Saw Blade / Trend Blade & Bit Cleaner- I LIKE IT!

I’m an impulse buyer. Throw something on an end cap with a bright sign on it and it’s in my shopping cart faster that you can say “my wife is going to be cheesed off…” So I only had to walk past this deal at Woodcraft before I was ready to pull out my wallet. It’s a 60 tooth, ATB fine finish blade by Trend. The regular price is $60, which is the usual range for a good quality blade. (If you want premium, you have to go over a hundred). But the sale was f...

Great dust mask

Great dust mask

All I can say is this is one great dust hood. I have used numerous dust masks over the years from the basic cheap disposable masks, the replacable cartridge masks and now this air shield pro dust hood. I do alot of grinding and sanding and have been making more dust than ever lately. The air shield pro is a unit that keeps the dust out of my lungs most importantly…but it also is effective in that no dust gets in my eyes… no more burning watering eyes due to dust.Reviews of earlier ...

Good personal filter, but disappointing

Good personal filter, but disappointing

This system was purchased when we started up our turning program with the patients from Walter Reed with the intent that if someone needed better filtration then just a dust mask. During operation it provides excellent filtration and fresh air along with the obvious face protection one likes when turning. The motor is quiet so you’re not deafened by the constant hum of a fan near your ear. However, it does fail in a few respects. The battery takes a while to charge and the last time...

Trend Airsheild, My lungs thank you

Trend Airsheild, My lungs thank you

I have been on the fence about buying one of these for a year now. Christmas is on its way, and Andy has some work ahead of him to provide family and freinds with the gifts they deserve. There is a lot of wood dust that is going to be produced, and I don’t need to store it in my lungs this year. Anyway, this is a positive air preasure filtrating system. Means it constantly blows filtered air over your face so dirty wood dusty air does not enter. It works well. The battery will last...
