Best $5 I’ve spent in a long time, been looking at those $50 plastic ones then I found this on youtube, http://www.woodshopdude.com/Good compound miter practice , I did on the TS and Bandsaw, These things are great !!! Sturdy fold and hangs on the wall, really well thought out design.Check em out

I was communicating in a project from dbhost about this honing machine so I thought I would share it here. I got this motor (1/2 hp 1750rpm) from Metal Mike, a nieghbor, same guy who traded a working drll press for a broken band saw. I took 2 peices of MDF and glued them together, roughed a circle, about 10” diameter, then mounted it on my lathe. I turned it into a perfect circle, lathes are good at that. You may have seen something similar, but the thin rip jigs I came across were more complex. I decided to use one particular attribute, the pointed stick, and work from there. Here’s the short version of instructions: Put a point on a stick and clamp it to the table top. Cut a spacer from a plastic card or license plate.
