Craftsman 1/3 hp 3.5 amp 10" Band Saw (21400)

Craftsman 1/3 hp 3.5 amp 10" Band Saw (21400)

A friend of mine has the previous version of this machine with the 3’ depth instead of the 4 5/8” depth of this 21400 model. I have used his doing some curvy cuts on smaller projects and it performed very well. The wife had mentioned getting another bandsaw for the shop but I kept shrugging it off until I had the funds for a 17” later this year. When I saw this one go on sale at Sears I decided to take the plunge. This is the very same saw as the Rikon 10-305 but sells fo...

Craftsman Professional 10" Hybrid Table Saw

Craftsman Professional 10" Hybrid Table Saw

01-25-2008 03:14 AM by Tony Z | 4 comments »

I’ve had this saw for almost a year now and I love it. I got a great deal on it also. It retails for about $1100 but it went on sale for $1000 and then Sears had a deal for 20% off that and then combined that with no interest for a year. I couldn’t pass it up. I ended up getting it for $800! The saw comes with a Biesemeyer fence which is one of the best features. When I first used the saw with this fence, I could have cried. The Biesemeyer fence works like butter. I don’t k...

One Great Product

One Great Product

I was wanting a jointer for a long time. I was looking, but most were upwards of $400, and I am not willing to fork over that kind of money, so I opted for a cheaper, but still efficient one. I saw the Delta, but it had aluminum table, and although it looked very nice, the lightness of it didn’t make me really that happy about it. I was going to get the 4 inch craftsman jointer, when I said to myself, I will grow, I will later want the bigger version, I will be mad I made the desision t...

Craftsman C3 19.2-Volt Lithium-Ion Compact Drill DD2100 - Review

Craftsman C3 19.2-Volt Lithium-Ion Compact Drill DD2100 - Review

11-20-2012 03:37 PM by Daris | 7 comments »

I recently purchased a new Craftsman Power Drill DD2100 from Sears.  I’ve been using it for about three weeks now and I have to say so far, I have NO complaints.  In fact I think it’s as solid a drill as I’ve ever used.  The drill came as part of a kit, and I was able to pick it up for $109 (on sale) from Sears.  For the price I think it’s a great bargain.  I was able to replace my old 19.2 cadmium battery-powered drill with a new high-end one for about $100, and s...

Craftsman Tool Storage (or I can do it by myself)

Craftsman Tool Storage (or I can do it by myself)

http://www.sears.com/shc/s/p_10153_12605_009H0027000B?vName=Tools&cName=Garage I have been “making do” with a Craftsman 26” x 16” rolling cabinet and 26” x 12 tool chest that was purchased in 1971 but, decided that after 38 years it was time for more tool storage. Initially looked at some of the stainless tool cabinets at both Sears and Lowe’s but finally selected the Craftsman 40” wide black steel set listed above because the 1971 Craftsman s...

Great Mortiser - Wow, makes square holes!

Great Mortiser - Wow, makes square holes!

02-06-2011 12:23 AM by Terry Burks | 12 comments »

After recently completing a project that required creating more than 20 mortises using a drill press and chisels, I decided it was time to seriously consider getting a bench top mortiser. After reading a number of reviews online, I visited my local Woodcraft store and looked at the Jet, Delta and Shop Fox models they had on display. Based on what I saw, discussions with the salesman, features and price, I decided that the Delta was the best they had. I was told that upcoming sales would br...

Craftsman 12" bandsaw

Craftsman 12" bandsaw

09-25-2011 07:52 PM by mustang958 | 13 comments »

Hello fellow lumber jocks! Scored a Craftsman 12” bandsaw and mobile base this weekend off of CL. $50 for the saw and $10 for the base plus the owner still had the original manual. When I went to check it out it had been sitting in a basement unused for at least a year. It had the usual crud buildup on the table from sitting there but I could see that there were only a few spots of rust on the table itself. Plugged it in and it fired right up and made a nice straight cut with no bl...

Sears Contractor Saw 21833

Sears Contractor Saw 21833

I think I’ve read most of the postings on the 21833. Picked mine up today. Based on what I’d read I expected a big forklift or crane to appear but there was just this little guy pushing a hand truck. He and a buddy pushed it up on the trailer and away we went. Off loading it was a breeze. Backed it up to my shop door and a couple of us carefully lowered it to my hand truck and wheeled it into the shop. Getting all the parts out of the box was a pain because you have to break up...

More Than Worth the Money

More Than Worth the Money

While wandering through Lowe’s, I saw this bad boy just sitting there with a $30 price tag. Since I found myself in no position to own a table saw for the foreseeable future, it looked like it would solve one of my biggest problems: how to rip boards down. The Accu-Rip attaches to your circular saw with two small screws located at the front of the guide. It takes a bit of time to get it set right, because it’s edge must line up with the blade just so, but once it does, it wo...
