When ever I need to set my table saw or router to an exact height or router table fence to an exact depth, I grab this. If you’d like to get this kind of precision but don’t like the price… Just buy it and get it over with. I was the same way. You’ll end up getting it someday so you might as well get it now.

At first I was going to say i was mad that this thing wasn’t acurate because when i set it on my coffee table flat out and zeroed it, then flipped it over it read .4deg. I put it on the middle shelf and zeroed it, flipped it over and it read .7deg. Didn’t make any sense, the table is flat, didn’t matter which side I zeroed it on, flip it over and it was off. I bought this product because I was tired of assuming that the bevel scale on my table saw was correct. I was shocked to see just how bad it really was. All in all I’m impressed with the product, it has one job and it does it well. The only thing I have found is that when it gets cold, for instance when it sits in an unheated shop, it doesn’t always read true. This is easily fixed by zeroing it out on the table and checking the blade bevel again.

I was super excited when I got this at Rockler a couple weeks ago. They had a great sale spend $100 get $30 off and I thought this would be the perfect little add on to my newly restore G1023. So today I finally decided to put this slick little sucker onto my TS. Instructions are not what I like but they are easy enough to figure out. I drilled hold in my tubes got the rails of the DRO connected. Then went to attach the hangers to the DRO Rails and, well nothing as in it wouldn’t tig...

Wixie for The Griz

Wixie for The Griz

I recently bought a wixey digital/fractional readout for my big old floor model planer. These are supposed to be for a desktop planer but I have seen others adapt them to fit a floor model planer. I have several other wixey products and have been quite happy with them so I decided to make one adaptable to my Grizzly 15” planer. I used a 2” wide piece of aluminum flat bar and a piece of 1 1/2” aluminum angle iron… and after a little trial and error of lining up the l...
