Infinity Dadonator 8" Stacked Dado Set

Infinity Dadonator 8" Stacked Dado Set

1989 days ago by knotscott | 3 comments »

The Infinity Dadonator SDB-800 8” stacked dado set features two 8” outside cutters with 24 carbide teeth each, and six 8” inside chippers with 6 carbide teeth each. Four of the chippers are a standard 1/8” width, one is 1/16”, and one is 3/32” to accommodate today’s odd plywood sizes. It comes with an instruction booklet and a set of plastic shims in a variety of thicknesses. It cuts dados 1/4” to 29/32”, and can me finely adjusted usin...

Infinity Zero Clearance Throat Plate and insert for sawstop table saw

Infinity Zero Clearance Throat Plate and insert for sawstop table saw

613 days ago by mbs | 16 comments »

The sawstop zero clearance insert doesn’t have enough support towards the back of the blade therefore the insert dips down below the top of the table. When cutting narrow wood, the leading edge of the wood catches on the top of the table which isn’t a safe situation to be in.. I recently heard about the Infinity billet insert and ordered it the same day. I don’t have any relationship with Infinity. The insert is machined out of aluminum and has a very nice anodized ...

The Super General is King!

The Super General is King!

One glance of the 010-044 Super General gives the immediate impression that this is a state-of-the-art blade, and is made to world class standards. The materials used are the finest examples available, and the manufacturing techniques used are nearly flawless. The teeth are among the largest I’ve seen on any blade, and the gullets are noticeably deep. Two distinctive design characteristics of the Super General’s tooth geometry are what sets it apart from most other premium gene...

Infinity's 010-060 - Fine Crosscuts and General Purpose Versatility In One Blade

Infinity's 010-060 - Fine Crosscuts and General Purpose Versatility In One Blade

This is an amazingly clean cutting blade and it happens to have good versatility too. The Hi-ATB teeth are exceptional for crosscutting, but it also rips very cleanly in material to ~ 6/4”. It’ll excel in fine veneered plywood, melamine, hardwood, or other laminate, and is versatile enough to be used for general purpose work. It’s cleaner cutting than my Forrest WWII, Ridge Carbide, Tenryu, DW7657, and Infinity Combomax, though it doesn’t rip as aggressively. It’...

How to cope with a new sled

How to cope with a new sled

My old delta coping sled bit the dust. To give it it’s due it saw industrial duty… I am proud of it, but ultimately it had problems and it shouldn’t have failed the way it did. So i have a new one.. and I like it. It is an Infinity cutting tools cop-100 with optional miter bar. I have put this through it’s paces so here we go. #1 Fit, finish, quality. I found this jig to be sturdy, good quality materials, and a smart design. Assembly was easy and the sled came...

I like the new design of Infinity's zero clearance insert.

I like the new design of Infinity's zero clearance insert.

I am not affiliated with Infinity in any way. This review refers to the design made on 3/1/13. Infinity has made modifications to the design of their ZCI for Sawstop that allows the saw blade to operate at full height. It’s machined out of aluminum and anodized red. The new unit doesn’t need the moving mechanism that sawstop uses. Fit and finish are great. Infinity drilled access holes in the plate so it’s easy to adjust the height of the insert from above the tabl...

To Infinity and Beyond

To Infinity and Beyond

The 50T Infinity Combomax is the best 50 tooth combination blade I’ve tried to date. This is an extraordinarily well made blade that uses a unique ATB/R configuration that features a chamfered raker instead of the traditional flat top raker. It has very low tearout for this class of blade, and is particularly good in sheetgoods, while maintaining good ripping abilities due to it’s 12° hook. Any blade that’s designed to do multiple tasks has some inherent compromise relati...

Clean flat bottom cuts

Clean flat bottom cuts

388 days ago by twc | 8 comments »

I am always looking for new more efficient ways to complete my projects. Lately I have been doing a lot of shaker style doors with stub-tenon and groove joinery. That’s where this blade comes in. It makes super clean cuts with perfectly flat bottoms. On their website it is shown cutting tenon shoulders in a single pass. I have not done anything bigger then a stub tenon but I think it would excel at larger tenons as well. I would definitely recommend this to anyone that likes to c...
