Woodcraft product page I had always heard that this style produces a very smooth cut, so I decided to pick some up when I was at Woodcraft. I bought the #6, #8, and #10. It really is amazing how smoothly and effortlessly they cut. The second picture I uploaded shows just how smooth these things cut (#10 is shown, but the results are typical). I recently purchased these from my local Richmond VA Woodcraft. The owner saw my perplexion as I perused the mobile base section of the store. He asked what I was kind of equipment I was outfitting and then suggested these. I liked the idea of the equipment using its own legs as support when not in transit. It’s cheap (cheap as in poorly made and from bad materials). It took me an hour of adjusting and more adjusting to get an ALMOST decent half blind dovetail out of this piece of _! Clamping the pieces in place is time consuming and requires way too many turns to hold the wood securely in place (which also means way too many turns to release the piece after routing it). After seeing the advertisement in the latest Woodcraft magazine offering the new Wood River planes I couldn’t wait to see them. The article said that they resemble the LN planes and were more affordable. After calling my local Woodcraft store I was told that it would be a while before they would have the planes in the store. Yesterday 2/17/09 I went to check them out and I believe that they are what was said in the ad.I have a no.5, no.2, no.1, and a low angle adjustable block by LN....
