Heavenly Performance

Heavenly Performance

I have been struggling with my table saw. It was not a joy to use. Although it is a dream of a saw (unisaw 36-953), the performance was lacking. The effort I needed to push boards through was far more than should be necessary. I had my blades sharpened (Freud Diablo and another carbide tipped blade) and had no noticeable improvement. I bought a new combination Orion blade. It was better, but not good enough. I noticed the blade and table were a little out of alignment. After fixing ...

Wow, is all I can say about this product. I did not see a review for the Full Kerf version her on the site and just wanted to add my two cents. I finally decided that it’s time to upgrade my table saw blade for my 3HP grizzly cabinet saw. For the past year I have been using a Irwin 40 tooth Marathon blade and it did wall, at least that what I thought. Having tried many top rated blades from manufactures you all know and love I choose the Tenryu PT-11536 4-1/2” Carbide Tipped Saw Blade ( 36 Tooth ATAF Grind – 3/8” Arbor. Power Tool Blade The manufacturer claimed that the blade was “For clean and easy trim work on the Porter Cable trim saw...

Tenryu Gold Medal Dado Not Exactly What I Had Hoped For.

This is a brief review of the Tenryu GMD. First Impression: The blades look of extremely high quality with thick bodies. Box: I personally don’t like the wood box because you have to lift out all of the chippers in order to get to the outer blades. Cut Quality: The side blades are excellent in MDF, and Plywood core veneers, as well as melamine. The bottom of the dado is the flattest, smoothest that I have seen. I’ve owned two previous dado sets, one from Systi-Matic, and ...

Blue Ribbon for Tenryu's Gold Medal

Blue Ribbon for Tenryu's Gold Medal

The Tenryu GM-25540 “Gold Medal” is the upper end of Tenryu’s vast collection of saw blades. It features a fairly standard 40 tooth alternating top bevel (ATB) tooth configuration that’s suitable for a wide range of tasks. It sports large C4 micrograin carbide teeth that should hold an edge well and will withstand several sharpenings. The Gold Medal is a top shelf blade that’s very comparable in design and performance to the industry standard Forrest WWII 40T....
