The Milwaukee C12D

The Milwaukee C12D

This is probably the best drill/driver I ever had; it scores 100% in my ratings. It’s a heavy duty cordless drill/driver and it can work all day with 1 ½ batteries I was so surprised with its power lightness in handling it and it outlasted both Bosch and Makita by far. Bought it a year ago brand new in sealed case from a very reputable tool store and it was not cheap. Unless you own one you cannot grasp the value of this tool. Here are the technical specs for this masterpiece ...

I had burnt up my last sander and was in a pinch to get another. So I had found this sander at a box store for $80.00.The weight and balance are very good. Also the grip is rubber and a little smaller than most of the others that I picked up. I will say this, one good thing about big box store is that you can test ride a product. I do have a bad wrist and on my last project I have been doing a lot of hand planing, sawing and card scrapping. so my wrist is a little sore. This sander does have ...

Not well made

Not well made

I’m a DIY guy who’s getting into my 60’s and have learned that it pays to buy good tools. In other words, you get what you pay for. That’s why I felt good when I bought this Milwaukee hammer drill. Milwaukee makes good stuff, right? Not. I hadn’t used the drill more than a dozen times when the variable speed feature quit. Now, you don’t want to be using a high torque 1/2” drill without variable speed – unless you don’t care if your arm ...

Milwaukee 12-in Dual-Bevel Compound Miter Saw

Milwaukee 12-in Dual-Bevel Compound Miter Saw

After 10 years of reliable service, I decided to update my Miter Saw station (i.e. bench with a single bevel DeWalt miter saw sitting on top). My decision was based my son now having a workshop where I could “will” him tools which could stimulate his interest in woodworking. This would give me a good excuse to upgrade to a miter saw which has been designed to capture the saw dust from the cut. I do not have the funds for a Kapex, which has been touted as the gold standard for miter saws,...

Good Sander, but not Great

Good Sander, but not Great

I received this Milwaukee 1/4-sheet sander this week as a prize for completing surveys online – it was the only woodworking type tool offered. This replaces a B&D 1/4-sheet Palm Sander without oscillation. First impression is that it is packed well in a bright red plastic case with latches. Kit contains the sander, dust bag, three sheets of sandpaper (120, 180, 220), manual, and a paper punch. I had read reviews of this sander on Amazon and many users had complained that it is...

Great saw for the price

Great saw for the price

I was looking for a new saw to replace my old Skil model and found this nice Milwaukee for $99.00. I have had it about a week and am pretty impressed. I was actually toying with the Ridgid brand, but opted on this one instead. This is a saw with no laser, or electric brake, but I personally didn’t miss them. Nice and powerful motor at 15amps so I haven’t experienced any binding under extreme use yet. Does have a interesting adjustable handle that you can position high or low de...

Built Like A Tank

Built Like A Tank

I owned a 5615 fixed base a few years back, but had to sell it to finance my bigger 5625. This is one router that I actually repurchased when I saw it on sale. The 5615-24 is the 8th router I’ve owned (Craftsman 9 amp, Freud FT2000E, Milwaukee 5625, Bosch 1617, Hitachi M12VC, Freud FT1700, and PC690). It’s an extremely well built router. The motor is made in the USA and is very strong for it’s 11 amp rating …plenty strong for most applications. It’s smooth an...

Very impressive 1/2 inch driver.

Very impressive 1/2 inch driver.

I got this drill for Christmas and have been very impressed with everything about it. It does what you expect a drill to do, it has the torque you need. Where it goes beyond that is its light weight and power use. I used this drill extensively for several hours on a single battery. When I finally used up the first battery I was initially afraid that the drill was broken. I thought it was broken because it was behaving as though it had full strength right up to its last drop of battery li...
