I purchased the Milwaukee 0928-29 28-Volt Lithium-Ion Cordless 4-Tool Combo Kit from Amazon about 1-1/2 years ago now. Priced paid, $592, now, $815! Ouch! I’m glad I got when I did. The kit includes: (2) 28-volt lithium-Ion batteries Reciprocating saw hammer-drill circular saw work light one-hour charger canvas carrying bag (2) Phillips bits (2) reciprocating saw blades circular saw blade rip fence bag Pros:I use the drill the most out of all of the t...

Newest 12 Volt Lith

Newest 12 Volt Lith

I just wanted to share the latest addition to my cordless tool set. I have been building my Makita LXT inventory throughout the years. In the past I have used several brands of the 12 volt lithium sets. I first bought a Sears Nextec drill/jigsaw/flashlight set. It actually was a good set, but I found a few annoying things about the tools. The sears drill had a sticky speed switch and the jigsaw was awkward to hold in your hand and switch on. It worked better as a reciprocating saw. To ofte...

This has to be the best hammer/drill/driver that i’ve ever used. It’s power/weight combo is perfect. I could use this drill all day without being fatigued and the battery would keep on going. Drilling 1 1/4” holes with speedbore max bits does not pose a problem for this drill. It eats through lumber with ease. This drill easily drills in 3/16” holes in concrete (just as fast as our corded hammer drill) to drive in anchors and it doesn’t take much to drill u...

Makita MAC700 2 HP Air Compressor

Makita MAC700 2 HP Air Compressor

First of all, this is a good product overall. If you are going to buy one, or just have, you might benefit from the following setup tips: 1. The oil filler cap is a single piece, consisting of the cap and attached tube. It may look like you can separate the cap from the tube, but don’t bother to try. Simply screw the whole piece into the threaded oil filler opening. No need to tighten too hard. Finger tight plus a bit more will be more than sufficient. You will not need to remove thi...

Makita MAC5200 3 HP Air compressor

I purchased this compressor as a replacement for a 26Gal 5HP husky I had. There was nothing wrong with the Husky it was simply that my space could not accommodate it. I intended to use this as a homeowner who always has a project and as someone who uses compressed air for multiple purposes. I did alot of research and narrowed it down to either the MAC5200 or the DeWalt D55146. I decided on the Makita because of the lower price and the oil lubricated pump. The reason oil lubrication was import...

I haven’t been able to use the drill as much as the driver but I can definitely say that I’m very happy with this set! The impact driver takes NO effort to operate and the size and weight are a HUGE improvement over my standard Ni-Cad DeWalt! The ergonomics are perfect! The belt clip comes in very handy and you can flip the clip to the correct side for normal left-handed people ;) Heck, the charger itself is very impressive! 1hr charge time, cooling fan, maintenance mode, etc. I or...

Makita 9403 4 x 24 inch, 11 amp belt sander

After reading many reviews and comparisons on heavy duty belt sanders, all roads seem to lead me to this work horse. I looked at my local box store and although they did not carry it, they did have it in their tool rental section. I asked the guy who works on all the rental tools and he said the only problem he has with them, is when people put them down while it is still moving, it eats the cord for lunch. It is a heavy unit which really helps get the job done and if you don’t keep i...

Okay so my parents are quite wonderful let me just say that. I just graduated college with a degree in MIS and they bought me this planer as a graduation present! Anyways onto the review. So as a back story to backup my review i have a few friends who have the Dewalt 735 and another who has an older Delta couldn’t tell you the model. I have seen the results of these planers and they were all okay, the Delta gave a lot of snip but that is no surprise as it is older. The dewalt does pr...

Not what they said it was!

Not what they said it was!

This drill Does not perform the way they said it would. I give them 5 stars on the weight, it is very light, half the weight of a Dewalt drill. The first three weeks the battery would last 4 or 5 hours. Keep in mind I am working this drill 8 hours or more a day. A month later the battery life dropped dramatically. I am changing batteries 5 or 6 times a day. The torque is half of the Dewalt drill, even though the Dewalt is heaver and cost more I think it is worth the money. I was lucky eno...
