Another great DVD. this sugar chest DVD is jam packed with so much woodworking knowledge on the sugar chest that Charles Neil is passing on to us. It is a 4 DVD set and goes through every little detail. the good the bad and the ugly. it goes through everything from lumber selection, to milling, construction, and the finished product. as the title states this is an A+ DVD. as we’ve some to expect it is very thorough also. one thing that the DVD talks about is lumber selection. about knots, working with them, the boards themselves, the grain and everything in between then preparing the lumber, and don’t get worried that it will all be big tools. Charles uses only a tablesaw and planner for most of the milling process. he also uses a drum sander but that can be substituted for a planer. then with all the...

Charles Neil’s Finishing A – Z Beyond the Books is a DVD set that EVERY woodworker should have. it is packed with i think about 15 hours of finishing on 10 DVD’s and it is so thorough. the two whole DVDs are just on preparing for the finish and sanding and i thought that there wasn’t much to know about sanding and preparing to finish but after Charles goes through it i just thought wow. even on preparing for a finish i learned a lot. then there are three DVDs on ...
