Howdy, I know gorilla tape has been reviewed before but I thought I’d give it another. I want to share my experience with clamping. I have used all kinds of tape to get the job done. Painters, masking, packing and duct. All of them had some uses but for the purposes of clamping they all had failure points. I’ll discuss those and give my impressions of gorilla tape. It as gotten cold here in the great white north (Toronto Canada). I still am able to work in my non insulated shop but it is hard to keep it above 15 C for optimal gluing condition. I read that Gorilla glue as a much better tolerance for cold and since what I was working on was purely decorative and had no structural function I decided to try it. I won a 2nd prize in Gorilla Glue Challenge. Winners received Gorilla Glue’s products and a Gorilla Glue t-shirt. Got a nice box of various Gorilla glues and a roll of tape. After watching Scott Phillips on tv I got increasingly interested In this Gorilla glue. I picked up a small bottle and tryed on the first project I could. It was a box with I actualy sold so I never got to post It on here. It was made with curly maple. So a fairly standard wood.I spread A healthy amount on each miter and brushed it out.
