Incra Customer Service

I just had to post this since it is such a positive item. I have just ordered the Incra I-Box jig and I went to the site to order a couple of doodads to go with the jig. An extra guide arm, plate and the rings that help set it to the size of the miter slot. Not that much really but I was pretty surprised that shipping was almost a 1/3 of the price of the order altogether. Anyway I wrote in the comments section that I thought that the shipping was kind of high for so little. I wasn’t an...

Comparing Finger Joint Jigs

Comparing Finger Joint Jigs

Rockler Finger Joint Jig Last year one of my Christmas presents was a Rockler Finger Joint Jig. Product Information: This jig is for use on virtually any router table with a standard 3/4” miter slot. The jig features a smooth-sliding backer sled and three precision-machined aluminum indexing keys to give you air-tight joints with either 1/4”, 3/8” or 1/2” spacing. Works with stock up to 3/4” thick. I found that this jig works well but isn’t extr...

Making Good Box Joints Easily and Repeatable

Making Good Box Joints Easily and Repeatable

I’ve been woodworking, both professionally and as a hobbyist, since 1974. Over those years, my appreciation of the value of jigs has continued to increase. For example, using a circle cutting jig on my band saw allowed me to cut precision circles ranging from a couple inches to three feet in diameter. Box joints, or finger joints, make for strong joints and can add aesthetic value to a project. Laying out multiple box joints, individually cutting them and getting good, tight joints t...

Incra Cleansweep Magnalock rings for Incra/JessEm Mast-R-Lift II

Incra Cleansweep Magnalock rings for Incra/JessEm Mast-R-Lift II

I’ve had my Mast-T-Lift II for a while now in a shop built router table. It’s set up for under table dust collection and does pretty well but I am always looking for was to improve dust collection, especially for routing. Recently, I purchased the Cleansweep magnalock rings in the hope they would help. Well, they do. I did some simple tests with the stock magna lock rings and then with the clean sweep ones. I routed a 3/8” x 1/2” rabbet in several pieces of pine....

More useful the more I use it

More useful the more I use it

I’ve been using this since about last November and I’m just now at the point that if I lost it I think I’d have to stop working until I got another one. Super simple to use, and I love the graduated pencil holes, it makes drawing a square referenced off of an edge a simple task that takes only a few seconds. What can I say, I love this thing. Wayne

It does it's job

It does it's job

I received this for Christmas and I just now had a chance to use it. I’m building a split top roubo workbench and had to put center marks on the chop and the leg. Very simple to use. The black print on stainless is easy to read, and there are holes laser cut into it for pencil marks. This is the first centering rule I’ve ever used, I know there are others out there, but I sure do like Incra’s stuff. Thanks for reading, and have a great day. Wayne

Out of box near perfect

Out of box near perfect

Incra 1000hd with no adjustment is near perfect on angles. I am new to segmented turning and my miter fence for my craftsman table saw was junk, Three stops and sloppy fit in the track, never able to repeat angles. I would have to sand each piece to get a fit that I was happy with. NO more ordered Incra 1000hd from Amazon.com took it out of the box and installed it on the table saw with only adjustment made to T-track. First thing noticed was how smooth the track slid in the slot. Miters were...

Incra miter gauge very good, but it takes a bit of work

So I finally took the plunge and ditched my miter gauge that came with my old Unisaw. I never really used it, it just sat there if needed. Well, I knew from experience that it was crap so it has gone away. Bought the 1000HD a while back and have been using it for a few weeks and man am I impressed. This is what Made in USA is all about. I’ve been loving everything about it, but it took a bit of work. I picked it up at Rockler on sale for $119. First off, the thing is packaged ver...

Great product at a great price

Great product at a great price

Hello there, I found this guy on ebay for 150$ with free shipping so I decided to get me one. I’ve heard a lot about the quality of incra products and this one is every thing I wanted and more. It took about 30 min to assemble and set up for use. I had a smidgeon of doubt about the extruded aluminum rail, but this miter gauge has so me heft to it. I don’t know you could possibly improve the positive indexing stops with vernier scale. Especially at this price. The glide lock mit...

Incra - Customer Service

Incra - Customer Service

Just a quick review of Incra’s customer service – which I give a resounding 5 stars! I bought one of their table saw router table combo packages back in mid December & just got around to opening up the boxes. I am installing the fence system and router table on a new SawStop PCS that I just picked up this weekend. First of all, their ordering process and shipping were spot-on. Obviously, I should have opened up all of the packages when I received them, but I did not open u...
