I resaw a lot of really hard woods like Bois de Arc, Mesquite, and Jatoba and have been using 2 or 3 TPI resaw blades but felt like they were very slow and required too much force to push the material through them. I called Timberwolf and they suggested a new resaw blade. It is more expensive but T Wolf says they will outlast 5 conventional resaw blades so I ordered one. I’ve used it to resaw oak, hard maple, and Jatoba so far and I’m really happy with it. It goes through 6”...

I was resawing some old reclaimed white oak last week when my resaw blade snapped in half. Not a pleasant sound. Luckily I was in the middle of a cut, I had just finished cutting a piece and stepped a couple of feet away to grap the next piece of wood. That’s when I heard the huge band. I have only done a little re-sawing but this bade cut 6” thick maple like butter. The finish was good but I am working to get it better. It went through the maple as fast as I could feed it.

I had tried several cheaper blades on my bandsaw and had never been satisfied. I had come to the conclusion that it must be either me or the bandsaw (Jet 14”).
