This year there have been a small rash of random YouTube videos and articles regarding the Harbor Freight Saw Mill with 301cc Gas Engine that they offer -sometimes at a ridiculously low price if you catch the sales and coupons. Yes there ARE bigger, better mills out there. Maybe for a lot less than the $1680 I spent on mine, if you managed to build it yourself. I didn’t have the time to do so, nor all of the parts on hand just yet to build my own with all sorts of fancy-shmancynes...

Another disappointment from Harbor Freight

Another disappointment from Harbor Freight

I would have rated it Zero, but you don’t allow me that option. I bought the Harbor Freight Central Machinery 14” 4 speed band saw while living in Casper, WY back in 2009. They shipped it to me in three packages, each weighing 50+ pounds. Each box arrived on different days, the last being two weeks after the first arrived. After assembling it and trying to make sense of the chicken scratch they call instructions, I had a good idea how it was to go together. However, that ende...

Don't buy

Don't buy

Bought this stand the other day. Get it home take it out of the box, simple to setup. Can’t get the thing to be level when tightening the screws. The pipe shifts because it’s to small for the casting, the top base sits all wonky only has one screw to mount . Taking back, bought a Sears stand for less and works fine.

Really People

Really People

I really don’t where to start with this review simply because I have seen other post on here mostly on the negative side because obviously people are morons and shouldn’t be near a toy drill let alone a real one. Also I made this purchase a while back and don’t recollect the exact price. But if I bought it then it had to be under 300 bills, Let me start I guess with the pro’s (please keep in mind my prior experience with a drill press’s was a dinosaur from the ...

This site’s reviews have been very helpful to me of late, and I thought I’d share my experiences with this Harbor Freight sander. My personal experience seems to differ from other reviews I’ve seen that trashed this guy. I’m a complete noob, and this is my first stationary sander of any type. So – grain of salt and all that. Overall, I am satisfied with this sander. I’ve had it for a month and used it on several projects. I feel like it is a good ...

If your on a budget then this is the press for you here are some pros and cons… Pros:1. Light is a great feature especially when trying to position a brad point on your workpiece2 Small enough to fit under a bench at 23” high3 Cast iron base and shelf makes it extremely sturdy but a con appears when trying to move and position the 6×6” shelf it’s very heavy4. Overall I like it Cons:1. Hard to position wood on shelf as its too small( that’s why I buil...

Cheap!!!...... but with potential

Okay I know what your thinking…..Harbor Freight really? Here’s the back story, I a run a small Pro woodworking Biz specializing in antique repro, custom furniture, and other Artisanal product. I’ve found a niche I needed to fill in my equipment roster, that hopefully will save me a bit of time and therefore money on one of my products( that I do alot of). The problem….after much research….. NO ONE makes what I need. So I had two choices either make what I wanted ...
