- Ridgid 4510 portable
- Brand: Ridgid | Category: Tablesaws

This is an upgraded portable saw from the old 2410 and now it is called the 4510 comes with a rifing knife very sweet …The saw was set dead nuts when I checked for aliment on the miter slot to the blade and the blade to the fence and the rifing knife was also set right on…. This saw is very easy to tune 4 allen bolts on the main body of the table and rip up to 25 ” to the right and 12 to the left… rifing knife is a fast release for dados manual states can handle 6” doda stacked but from past reviews I have read that the standard 8 inch seemed to be no problem I have not really got a chance to give it a therough testing tho…

I have the original TS2400 saw, bought it in 2001 and have never had a single problem with it.

I have the 2410…I like the stand much better than the newer ones…just my opinion…though I wish i could have a riving knife..wonder if there is a mod available for the old saws.

The TS2400 was an excellent contractor’s saw…see my projects for a router table drop-in

I have the TS2400 as well… while I’d love a bigger saw, the 2400 had done everything I’ve asked it to so far (including ripping 8/4 maple), and being able to fold it up and store it against the wall when it gets snowy out and I need to move the car in is a big plus.
I would LOVE to have the riving knife feature of the 4510, though. The Blade-guard-pawls combo on the old one is a bit of a pain to take on & off (especially when you have an out-feed table setup like mine).

Has anybody had a chance to actually and seriously compare the R4510 to the TS2410?
I ask, because in the past both Ridgid and Ryobi have at times brought out replacement tools that were inferior (remember their thickness planers?) to the items they were replacing. Is the new saw made by the same sub-contractor as the old one?
One poster on another site mentioned that the R4510 is very similar to the Bosch 4100. I have looked at the Bosch and its fence is not as solid looking as that of the TS2410. Also, how do the table sizes of the TS2410 and R4510 compare? The new saw has improvements, but have any other important things been compromised?
