- Other SCMI shaper type TF 130 PS
- Brand: Other | Category: Other

This piece of equipment really caught my eye at AWFS . A massive cast iron sliding table supporting a massive cast steel tenoning table all sitting on a slide system that looks “prehistoric”. I was hooked ! Other things I like are the all digital readouts for adjustments ,the excellent fit and finish overall ,and when it is turning a 12 pound cutterhead at 6000 RPM it is absolutely vibration free . The machine will be used for end grain work like fingerjointing and tenoning , and large casement profiles .

That thing is insane! Did you get a whole cabinet full of cutterheads, or will you now need to scout those out and pick them up as you go? I can’t believe they’re 12lbs!

Actually Karson there are a large number of these and closely similar SCM 130’s used and in all the industrial liquidation sites offered for sale .

But none that I’ve seen within an easy drive. But some of those sales make me drool. They never put the tooling with the tool. It’s usually a storeroom of tooling for every tool in the shop.

They make great machines untill you need parts that are out of stock, and the factory in Italy is closed for Christmas Vacation for a month. Quite a fight and my $ 20,000 shaper was down for six weeks!
Do I sound bitter?
Other than that, I love the machine (Not the same model) I hope they have changed——for your sake.
