Not quite available in stores yet, I got the chance to test and review Micro Jig’s “ZeroPlay” miter bars.
They are really two pieces with opposing wedges molded in that spread them to fit the miter slot. Set screws lock the bars once adjusted. They are molded of glass filled nylon, which makes them durable as well as slick enough to slide well.
The bars are short at 9 1/2”, but because they make full contact with the slot along their entire length, they are surprisingly sure in their holding power.
Each bar also comes with a stop unit, essentially a t_nut that can be locked into the miter slot.
The instructions are clear and even come with a lot of useful plans for jig making using the bars.
I will be using these on all my jigs going forward.
