FastCap SoftWax is a wax filler kit designed to fill nail holes and small cracks.

We all try to hide the nails, brads, and pins, but sometimes, only sometimes… we HAVE to fill the holes.

This is a fantastic collection of colored waxes suitable for matching almost any hole. Use them on finished wood, and they easily blend to any color. I usually follow the kit instructions. For larger holes, I wrap a heavy paper towel around a felt sanding block, and polish the wax level with the surrounding surface. In cooler conditions, soften the wax with a lighter or soldering iron to make it more pliable.

The best part? Individual replacement sticks are ~ $2 each, and available from many sources.

Buy the kit, have it handy, and down the road, replace what you need.

Highly recommended for anyone who does finish work or built-ins.

I was looking around for just such a product just last month and ended up with a much less comprehensive product.

Thanks for the info.

I own this product by fastcap and I think it’s great also.. I don’t use it a whole lot, but have used it when I needed it.. your right… theres many different colors and you can probably find one that matches with no problems..I use a mixture of epoxy and sawdust if I have to make a fill on a raw piece of furniture and it works great..as long as I’m not staining the piece..

I have this exact same thing also and I don’t use it that much either, but when you need it you need it.

I have used it after all the coloring is done and before the clear top coat.
Works great on small holes and imperfections.

Yeppers, great product. We have about 4 of these kits in our shop that we use almost daily. You can even blend sticks together to get a more accurate color if need be. We use an iron to heat it if we need to soften it before filling a hole.

We use these also. The only thing thats not great is when you finish a color you cant replace it with a stick that fits in the box so you end up with a box and a bag. But as far as color goes its great. Blends well and the scraper helps a lot. soft plastic doesnt hurt the finish. I give it a thumbs up. just not over my head.
