I did a quick review of the Veritas Variable Burnisher. A great tool that helps make card scraper sharpening a breeze.

You seem to use the terms burnish and sharpen interchangeable, but they are two separate processes. I checked the Veritas web site for this device, and while it creates a hook, it doesn’t sharpen, a process necessary prior to bufnishing.

I have and use this tool also. it is not a sharpener, it simply puts the hook on a sharpened card, works very nicely.

Awesome! I don’t know why I didn’t buy one earlier.
