Locker Mates baskets!
I paid $1 or so each, at the local junk store. Simply a metal basket with a few rare-earth magnets. I bought these a few years ago, but noticed them today on the back to school displays.
In the photos:
- On the table saw, pencils, crayons, finger tapes (carver’s tape to prevent finger slices from jointed edges), and an engineer’s square.
- One the band saw, a push stick for resawing, allen wenches that go with the saw, and a blade rounding stone.
- On the jointer, crayons! You DO mark your jointed corners and direction of travel, don’t you?
Very handy on any steel surface, and a great deal for a total of $3.

The magnets were included with the $1 baskets! Such a deal…
Locker Mates also makes mirrors, too. You can check yourself out while you work.
