This saw is my first table saw. I got it used, otherwise I could not have afforded it. The saw is sold in Europe as AEG, probably in other regions under a different name. I believe Ryobi.

This is a portable saw, equipped with wheels. The support legs fold up/down in a matter of seconds, and lock securely in transport. They act as a handle when up, so you can wheel away the saw like a wheel barrel. Quite nice.

It’s no small saw, so it won’t fit in small cars, and the handle takes up a lot of space when folded.

The build quality is fine. Fence feels very solid, and locks securely in place. There is a table extension for very wide cuts.

Raising and tilting blade is fine and simple.

The saw has a good start / stop switch and a engine break to stop the blade very fast. That is very good.

What I do NOT like about the saw is how the top is done. Aluminium (quite thin plate) with a glass blown surface texture. It does not feel smooth. There are holes where countersunk screws in inserted, these catch dust, and if you are unlucky also push blocks, wood etc.

The zero-clearance insert is made of PLASTIC, and is too thin and flimsy. This is NOT good.

Most annoying is the tracks: it is NOT a T-track, but has these little “tabs”. 3 long the width. And the track is sort of rounded so an accurate width is hard to determine.

The mitre gauge is not accurate in the track, there is clearly play of around 1 mm. Also it’s too small and flimsy. Not recommended. Make your own.

And finally the riving knife extends above the blade, so you can’t make through cuts in wood.

A dado blade can not be fitted. This is normal outside USA.

All in all, compared to the $100 saws, this is a large, well built and solid saw. Price from new in my country around $ 900. But there are unfortunately some minuses, so it will have to be a 3 (a large 3 that is!)
