- Charles Neil Making Large Panels
- Brand: Charles Neil | Category: DVDs

as the title states this is an A+ DVD. as we’ve some to expect it is very thorough also.
one thing that the DVD talks about is lumber selection. about knots, working with them, the boards themselves, the grain and everything in between
then preparing the lumber, and don’t get worried that it will all be big tools. Charles uses only a tablesaw and planner for most of the milling process. he also uses a drum sander but that can be substituted for a planer.
then with all the boards milled as we’ve come to expect Charles takes it to another level and explains all the glues that could be used and their different properties. many people talk about gluing up panels but never before have i seen anyone go as far as to explain the different glues uses and properties.
last it gluing up the panels them selves. tips on getting good gluing pressure, clamps and everything in between. then as we always hear from Charles which is a key throughout this video as it is on his other videos he always emphasizes to sneak up on it.
this is a great video and especially if you have a large panel to make i would suggest this before going into it because it will really help you to do it. i would really suggest this video!
