- Kreg Rockler Pock-it Hole Clamp® with Quick Release
- Brand: Kreg | Category: Other
(note: In response to some of the comments….
I do realize that for some these will work quite well. I too have seen reviews of items I was very pleased with though the reviewer was not. For those of you who these work well for, I would love for you to demonstrate because I really hoped they would work. I appreciate your positive findings.
I also want to be clear that I in no way am dissing Rockler. I continue to buy many things from them. My decision not to return them had nothing to do with Rockler and I don’t ding them for my opinions on them. In fact one of the reasons I have no returned them is because I am still trying to prove or disprove user error. If I get these to work I will change the review.
I think the best comments I have gotten thus far is that these are not made for a lot of pressure. If you are just holding the wood together and letting the screws do the work then these would work just fine. I took the word clamp to mean pressure. My experience has been that every so often the wood shifts when you drive the screw if you aren’t clamped tight enough causing slight alignment issues.
I appreciate the feedback.)
I love ..LOVE my Kreg Pocket Hole kit. This is not a review for that kit.
I posted this as a Kreg product but it is actually a Rockler Product. Kreg being the prevailing brand name for this tool I felt it made sense to associate it as such.
I also do not have the quick release although I don’t think it will affect my review. I do wish I had the quick release though.
These are relatively well built.
Overall, I am not pleased with these. I have played with these a lot and cannot get them to clamp any better than using quick clamps.
In the pictures they show them flat against the board, however this does not happen. The tighter you get them the more they want to pull up and out.
They are pretty straight forward and I am really disappointed. If I struggle with anything on using pocket holes it is the clamping. These did not make it any better.
